Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and supplies.
∎ Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and production capabilities.
∎ Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing of supply contracts.
∎ Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
∎ Coordinate with production and inventory teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
∎ Manage inventory levels to minimize holding costs and avoid production delays.
∎ Monitor and control procurement budgets and expenses.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement costs.
∎ Work closely with the production, quality control, and finance departments to align procurement activities with overall company goals.
