• Execute day-to-day R&D activities as per departmental requirements and management instructions.

• Coordinate and follow up on R&D development programs from initial concept to final approval.

• Maintain proper records of development, trials, technical observations, and results.

• Develop new fabric constructions, textures, structures, finishes, and innovative textile products.

• Work on new concepts based on buyer requirements, market trends, and business opportunities.

• Support innovation projects aimed at improving fabric performance, appearance, hand feel, functionality, and commercial value.

• Explore alternative yarns, fibers, constructions, machine settings, and processes for product improvement.

• Conduct knitting/fabric development trials according to approved technical requirements.

• Prepare trial plans & coordinate with relevant departments.

• Monitor trial execution and record technical observations and Analyze trial results and recommend necessary modifications for successful development.

• Identify technical issues during development and propose practical solutions.

• Investigate fabric defects, dimensional stability, GSM, stretch, recovery, appearance, hand feel, and other technical parameters.

• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for development-related problems.

• Support development activities based on buyer specifications, comments, and technical requirements.

• Prepare technical information and development samples for customer/buyer presentation.

• Maintain proper documentation of buyer-specific development requirements.

• Coordinate development requirements and ensure smooth transfer of approved developments to bulk production.

• Support production teams in resolving technical issues related to newly developed products.

• Monitor new fabric trends, yarn developments, fiber innovations, machinery capabilities, and textile technologies.
