Experience in a knit composite garments manufacturing factory will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:

Manage the overall operation of the finished fabric store, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and issuance of fabrics.

Receive finished fabrics from production/dyeing/finishing departments and verify quantity, quality, shade, roll length, and relevant documents.

Ensure proper fabric inspection, identification, tagging, and systematic storage according to style, color, lot, shade, and quality.

Maintain accurate stock records through ERP/software and physical inventory systems.

Monitor daily fabric receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and closing balances.

Coordinate with Production, Planning, Merchandising, Quality, Cutting, and Accounts departments to ensure timely fabric availability.

Control fabric movement using proper documentation such as GRN, delivery challan, issue notes, and transfer documents.

Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.

Ensure proper FIFO/lot-wise inventory management to minimize fabric aging, damage, and shade-mixing issues.

Maintain proper warehouse conditions to protect fabrics from moisture, dust, damage, and other risks.

Monitor slow-moving, excess, shortage, rejected, and damaged fabrics and prepare necessary reports.

Ensure proper housekeeping, stacking, labeling, and utilization of store space.

Supervise store officers, storekeepers, helpers, and other warehouse personnel.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and movement reports for management.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and internal/external audit requirements.

Investigate stock discrepancies and take corrective actions in coordination with relevant departments.

Improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and fabric handling practices.

Train and guide store team members on proper fabric handling, documentation, and inventory procedures.

Ensure timely availability and delivery of fabrics to the cutting/production section according to the production plan.
