Experience:
Training in Labor Law, Industrial Relations, Counseling, or Compliance will be considered an advantage.
2–5 years of relevant & proven experience in worker welfare, employee relations, HR, compliance, or industrial relations within a garments, textile, or manufacturing organization.
Sound knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and worker welfare requirements.
Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, approachable, and service-oriented attitude.
Ability to handle employee grievances and conflict resolution effectively.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Willingness to work in a factory environment.
Good report writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work with employees from diverse backgrounds.
Good command of Bengali and English.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Welfare Officer to promote employee well-being, maintain harmonious industrial relations, and ensure effective implementation of worker welfare programs in our garments manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing worker concerns and supporting a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and implement worker welfare programs in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
Address employee grievances and provide appropriate support, counseling, and guidance.
Maintain effective communication between management and workers to foster positive employee relations.
Conduct regular worker awareness sessions on health, hygiene, workplace behavior, labor rights, and company policies.
Support the operation of Worker Participation Committee (WPC) and other employee engagement activities.
Assist in resolving workplace disputes and disciplinary matters through proper procedures.
Conduct employee interviews, surveys, and welfare assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate medical support, emergency assistance, and welfare-related services for employees.
Monitor canteen, childcare, transportation, drinking water, sanitation, and other welfare facilities.
Support compliance audits by providing welfare-related records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, labor rules, and buyer requirements related to worker welfare.
Prepare welfare reports, grievance logs, counseling records, and monthly activity reports.
Organize cultural, social, and employee engagement programs to enhance workplace morale.
Coordinate with HR, Compliance, Administration, and Production departments on welfare-related matters.
