Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager – Factory HR to lead and oversee all Human Resource functions within our garments manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for workforce planning, employee relations, labor law compliance, industrial relations, performance management, recruitment, worker welfare, and HR operational excellence to support business objectives and maintain a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Lead and manage all factory HR operations in alignment with company policies and business goals.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation, and statutory compliance requirements.

  • Oversee attendance, leave management, manpower planning, and workforce analytics.

Employee & Industrial Relations

  • Maintain positive employee relations and foster a harmonious workplace environment.

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and labor law.

  • Manage industrial relations activities and maintain effective communication between management and workers.

  • Guide and support Worker Participation Committee (WPC) activities and employee engagement initiatives.

Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, promotion, and separation processes.

  • Coordinate manpower planning with production and departmental heads.

  • Identify training and development needs and facilitate employee capability-building programs.

Compliance & Legal Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, Labor Rules, and all applicable employment regulations.

  • Support social compliance requirements and buyer standards related to labor practices and employee welfare.

  • Coordinate internal, external, and buyer audits related to HR and labor compliance.

  • Ensure proper implementation of workplace policies, disciplinary procedures, and ethical standards.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee payroll inputs, attendance verification, overtime control, and employee benefits administration.

  • Monitor compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.

Reporting & Strategic Support

  • Prepare and present HR reports, turnover analysis, absenteeism reports, manpower status, and other management reports.

  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to support organizational growth and productivity.

  • Participate in strategic HR planning and organizational development initiatives.

Educational Requirements

  • Master's degree or MBA in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certifications in HR, Labor Law, Industrial Relations, or Compliance will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role within a garments, textile, or manufacturing organization.

  • Strong experience in factory HR operations, employee relations, industrial relations, and labor law compliance.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and Labor Rules.

  • Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent employee relations and conflict management skills.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Bengali.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to lead large and diverse workforces in a factory environment.

  • Experience working with compliance-driven and export-oriented garments factories will be highly preferred.
