Experience:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 06 years of relevant experience in garment quality, preferably with substantial experience in suits, blazers, formal wear, or tailored garments.
Strong experience in both QA and QC systems.Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, workmanship, finishing, and inspection systems.
Experience in dealing with international buyers, buying houses, and third-party inspection agencies.Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good communication skills.
Good computer skills in office applications.
Position Overview
The Head of Quality will be responsible for leading and managing the overall Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions of the Suits & Blazers Factory. The position will ensure that all products meet customer specifications, approved samples, technical standards, workmanship requirements, and applicable compliance standards from development through final shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall quality strategy, systems, procedures, and standards for suits and blazers production.
Establish and maintain quality standards for fabric, trims, accessories, interlinings, linings, buttons, zippers, and other raw materials.
Ensure quality control at every stage, including fabric inspection, cutting, fusing, sewing, pressing, finishing, and final inspection.
Monitor critical quality points related to suit and blazer construction, including fit, measurements, balance, shape, seam quality, fusing, pressing, collar, lapel, sleeve, pocket, buttonhole, lining, and finishing.
Ensure production follows approved samples, Tech Packs, Buyer Specifications, Measurement Sheets, Construction Details, and Quality Standards.
Establish and monitor inline, end-line, and final inspection systems.
Analyze defects, quality trends, rejection rates, alteration rates, rework, and customer complaints and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Lead root-cause analysis for recurring quality problems and ensure timely corrective action.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Technical, IE, Cutting, Finishing, and other relevant departments to prevent quality issues.
Establish quality KPIs and regularly report factory quality performance to senior management.
Develop and conduct quality training programs for Quality, Production, and other relevant personnel.
Ensure effective implementation of quality checkpoints and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with applicable customer requirements, factory procedures, and international quality standards.
