Education:
∎ Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ 8+ years of experience in marketing & merchandising in the apparel/textile industry.
∎ Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
∎ Excellent knowledge of garment production, costing, and supply chain management.
∎ Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to enhance brand positioning and expand business opportunities
∎ Identify and acquire new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing buyers.
∎ Manage the entire merchandising process, from order confirmation to final shipment, ensuring timely execution.
∎ Monitor product development, costing, and pricing strategies to achieve competitive advantages.
∎ Coordinate with production, sourcing, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Negotiate with buyers and vendors to optimize pricing, terms, and lead times.
∎ Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to align business strategies accordingly.
∎ Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
∎ Lead and mentor the merchandising team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
∎ Oversee order tracking, WIP reports, and ensure timely delivery without compromising quality.
∎ Collaborate with design and R&D teams for innovative product development.
∎ Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
∎ Maintain clear communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Take on additional tasks as assigned by the management.
