Responsibilities & Context:

We are a leading 100% export-oriented apparel manufacturer. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager (Sewing) to lead our technical, production engineering and sample rooms. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design concepts and bulk production floor execution.

Technical & Pattern Optimization

• Analyze buyer tech packs and structural blueprints before production.

• Review pattern fit, shrinkage and grading with pattern makers.

• Identify potential construction risks before cutting fabrics.

• Approve final per-production mock-ups and sealing samples.

Floor Efficiency & Line Balancing

• Design efficient sewing line layouts using industrial engineering techniques.

• Select correct machinery, folders, guides and attachments.

• Calculate exact standard allowed minutes (SAM) per garment layout.

• Eliminate bottlenecks to maintain smooth hourly target flows.

Quality & Compliance Control

• Minimize floor rejection, alteration and repair rates daily.

• Standardize sewing methods to meet strict AQL buyer guidelines.

• Implement root-cause analysis for any recurring sewing defects.

Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise sample makers, pattern masters and supervisors.

• Train operators on advanced automated sewing machine equipment.

• Conduct skill gap assessments across production lines.
