Responsibilities & Context:
A merchandiser manages product displays, monitors stock levels, and analyzes sales data to maximize store sales and profitability. They plan product ranges, set pricing strategies, build supplier relationships, and ensure products look attractive and are fully stocked in-store or online
Key Responsibilities
Stock & Inventory: Track inventory levels, restock shelves, remove damaged goods, and forecast future product needs.
Displays & Layouts: Design attractive product arrangements, implement planograms, and set up promotional signage.
Data & Pricing: Analyze sales metrics, track market trends, and plan pricing or markdowns to clear slow-moving stock.
Vendor Coordination: Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with suppliers and manufacturers.
