• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

• Diploma in Textile/Garments Production Technology or a minimum HSC/SSC qualification.

• Experience: 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in a knit and/or woven garments manufacturing factory, including background as a sewing supervisor.

• Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of sewing operations, line balancing, SMV, bottleneck identification, and basic computer skills (MS Office).

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and the ability to work under high-pressure environments

A Line Chief (Knit & Woven) in a garment manufacturing factory supervises day-to-day sewing line operations, balances workflows, and ensures hourly production targets and buyer quality standards are met

• Production Management: Supervise assigned sewing lines to achieve daily and hourly output targets

• Line Setup & Balancing: Check style operation breakdowns, manage machine layouts, and handle quick style changeovers for both knit and woven fabrics

• Workflow & Efficiency: Monitor Standard Minute Value (SMV), eliminate bottlenecks, and balance operator work allocation to maintain high efficiency

• Quality Control: Inspect samples and monitor product quality continuously to minimize defects, alterations, and rejections

• Inter-Department Coordination: Work closely with the Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality Assurance (QA), Maintenance, and Cutting sections for smooth material flow

• Team Leadership: Train, guide, and motivate machine operators, maintain floor discipline, and foster teamwork
