Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, Garments Technology or relevant discipline.
Professional training/certification in Pattern Making, CAD or Garment Technology will be an added advantage.
Strong practical experience in CAD, Pattern, Sample Development and Technical functions.
Experience in Woven & Denim Garments is highly preferred.
Candidates with experience working with international buyers/buying houses will get preference.
Must have experience in leading or supervising a CAD, Pattern and Sample Development team.
Job Context
Sinha Knit and Denims Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically strong professional to lead our CAD, Sample & Technical function at the factory. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in pattern development, CAD, grading, garment fitting, sample development and technical problem-solving, with solid experience in Woven & Denim Garments.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the CAD, Pattern, Sample & Technical team and ensure timely completion of all planned styles.
Manage the complete technical development process from Tech Pack/Design to production-ready pattern and approved sample.
Develop, review and approve base patterns, grading, costing patterns, shrinkage-adjusted patterns and production patterns.
Ensure proper pattern checking and accuracy as per buyer measurement/specification requirements.
Manage Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP and other required sample development within the agreed T&A.
Set daily sample room targets and monitor target vs. achievement.
Ensure required fabrics, trims, threads, accessories and other materials are available for planned sample development.
Review sample fitting, measurements, garment construction, workmanship and technical quality.
Analyze sample pass/fail results, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure proper application of fabric and wash shrinkage during pattern and sample development.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Quality, Cutting, IE, Washing, Embroidery, Accessories and Store teams to resolve technical issues.
Attend PPM, risk analysis, fitting sessions and buyer/buying house technical meetings when required.
Review buyer comments and ensure all technical corrections are properly incorporated within the required timeline.
Prepare and maintain spec sheets, grading specifications, revised patterns and technical documents.
Coordinate sending of pattern soft copies and technical documents to buyers/buying houses when required.
Ensure approved patterns and specifications are properly handed over to the production team.
Conduct regular technical and quality review meetings and establish improvement plans.
Ensure effective utilization of CAD systems, sample room resources and technical manpower.
Develop and train team members to improve technical capability and productivity.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
