About the Role

Alam Textile & Garments is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Software Development & Technology to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's software solutions and technology infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technology professional who can bridge business needs with innovative digital solutions while ensuring reliable and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications and software solutions.

• Manage ERP, HRIS, inventory, production, sales, and other enterprise systems.

• Oversee software developers, IT support personnel, and technology vendors.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.

• Ensure the security, performance, and availability of all technology systems.

• Plan and manage software development projects, upgrades, and system integrations.

• Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

• Monitor servers, networks, databases, backups, and cloud-based services.

• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

• Prepare technology budgets, project plans, and performance reports for management.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance management to the technology team.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A Master's degree will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in software development and technology management.

• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role.

• Experience in ERP, HRIS, manufacturing, or retail systems will be highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and SDLC.

• Experience with .NET, Java, PHP, Python, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.

• Understanding of APIs, system integration, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.

• Experience with version control, project management tools, and Agile/Scrum practices.

• Familiarity with networking, server administration, and IT infrastructure is an advantage.
