- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized
- Fluent in local language and English
Responsibilities & Context: The Asst. Manager – HR & Admin (Factory) is responsible for managing and executing human resource and administrative functions at the plant level. This role supports the implementation of HR policies, statutory compliance, employee engagement, recruitment, payroll coordination, welfare, and general administration to ensure smooth factory operations in alignment with organizational goals.
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle management at the plant (joining to exit).
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and physical files.
- Assist with monthly payroll inputs, attendance, and leave management.
- Coordinate with corporate HR for implementation of HR policies and systems.
- Manage blue-collar and staff recruitment in coordination with manpower contractors.
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, and pre-employment formalities.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for new joiners.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and factory-specific statutory requirements (ESIC, PF, Factory Act, etc.).
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, and liaison with government departments.
- Monitor contractor compliance including audits and documentation.
- Address grievances of workers and staff in a timely manner.
- Conduct employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
- Support in disciplinary actions and notices in coordination with legal advisors.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs at the plant level.
- Maintain training records and evaluate effectiveness.
- Oversee security, housekeeping, canteen, and transport arrangements.
- Ensure workplace safety, hygiene, and compliance with EHS norms.
- Maintain vendor contracts and liaise with facility service providers.
