Responsibilities & Context:

The incumbent will be responsible for driving card sales, managing the Direct Sales Team (DST), achieving business targets and ensuring quality customer acquisition. Major responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, supervise and manage the Direct Sales Team (DST) engaged in acquisition and sales of credit/debit card products.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual card acquisition and activation targets.

  • Set individual and team-wise sales targets and continuously monitor performance against assigned targets.

  • Guide, coach and motivate the sales team to maximize productivity, conversion and quality of business.

  • Monitor daily sales activities, leads, applications, approvals, activations and other relevant sales performance indicators.

  • Ensure achievement of card acquisition targets while maintaining required portfolio quality and compliance standards.

  • Develop new customer acquisition channels and explore opportunities for expanding the Bank's card business.

  • Coordinate with Branch Banking, Retail Banking, Marketing, Credit, Operations, Call Centre and other relevant units for smooth processing and delivery of card products.

  • Ensure proper documentation, KYC, AML/CFT and other regulatory and internal policy requirements in the sales and customer acquisition process.

  • Monitor the performance and productivity of individual Sales Officers/Direct Sales Representatives and take appropriate corrective measures where necessary.

  • Conduct regular field visits and accompany sales team members to support customer acquisition and improve sales effectiveness.

  • Prepare and submit periodic sales reports, performance dashboards, forecasts and business updates to management.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and customer preferences and recommend appropriate sales initiatives for card products.

  • Organize and participate in corporate sales drives, campaigns, fairs, promotional activities and other customer acquisition programs.

  • Ensure that sales practices remain ethical, transparent and aligned with the Bank's policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the development and implementation of incentive schemes and performance measurement mechanisms for the Direct Sales Team.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and ensure a high level of customer service.

  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
