Job Context
The Registrar is the chief administrative officer of the University and is responsible for ensuring efficient academic and administrative governance in compliance university statutes. The position plays a key role in coordinating academic, administrative, and statutory activities of the University.
Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage overall administrative functions of the University in accordance with approved policies, statutes, and regulations.
2. Act as Member-Secretary of statutory bodies including the Syndicate, Academic Council, and other committees, and ensure proper documentation of meetings and decisions.
3. Manage establishment matters including recruitment, appointment, promotion, leave, discipline, and service records of faculty and staff.
4. Coordinate with academic departments, offices, and external regulatory bodies for smooth academic and administrative operations.
5. Supervise preparation, preservation, and maintenance of official records, documents, and correspondence of the University.
6. Support the Vice-Chancellor in policy formulation, institutional planning, and governance-related activities.
7. Oversee implementation of MIS/ERP systems and ensure effective digital record and data management.
8. Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy in handling sensitive institutional information.
9. Perform any other duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or University authority from time to time.
