Job Context:-

The Associate Professor will be a core faculty member of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering / Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering. The role involves teaching, research, academic supervision, curriculum development, and participation in institutional quality assurance and administrative activities.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate classes, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, as per approved curricula.

2. Prepare course outlines, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment methods following Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles.

3. Evaluate students through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and project work, and submit results within the stipulated time.

4. Supervise undergraduate projects, capstone projects, and postgraduate research (where applicable).

5. Engage in scholarly research and publish research articles in recognized peer-reviewed and indexed journals.

6. Participate in curriculum development, review, and updating to ensure academic quality and industry relevance.

7. Contribute to accreditation, self-assessment, and quality assurance activities of the department and university.

8. Assist the Head of the Department in academic planning, coordination, and departmental administration.

9. Take part in examination-related duties such as question setting, moderation, invigilation, and script evaluation.

10. Support laboratory development, safety, and effective use of equipment and software relevant to the discipline.

11. Participate in seminars, workshops, faculty development programs, and professional training.

12. Maintain professional ethics, academic integrity, and a student-friendly learning environment.

13. Perform any other academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the university from time to time.
