Job Context:
∎ A Multinational Workwear Apparel manufacturer company invites applicants for the post of Merchandising Manager for their Cumilla factory. The role will be supervising and organizing our merchandising team and source raw material suppliers.
∎ Job Location: Cumilla, EPZ
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organizing the merchandising department, analyzing the team members, and then distributing the workload according to their capability and capacity.
∎ Set priorities, oversee the merchandising cycle (File / Record keeping / Sampling / T&As / QA file making / Production follow ups / Shipment booking etc.) and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities.
∎ Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Engage in costing and price negotiation with vendors and prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns.
∎ Provide monthly intelligence report to the business on actual and potential rises and falls in current cost factors.
∎ Review new tech packs and developments to identify any critical points and provide the right details to the production and quality department.
∎ Ensure all customer requirements are met in production based on customer tech packs
∎ Coordinate and monitor the quality of the product through quality personnel.
∎ Maintain Time and Action (T&A) plan and ensure on-time procurement of trims and accessories for all orders.
∎ Regularly evaluate supplier performance and source and develop new factories as per requirements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 5 years merchandising experience in the management role, preferably in a reputed apparel factory in the woven and knits category.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart, and energetic.
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently.
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines.
∎ Must have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of small/large volume orders, and various styles orders independently.
∎ Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, fabric printing, and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing).
∎ Have excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers.
∎ Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.
∎ Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures.
∎ The applicants should have experience in Apparel Merchandising in a management role.
∎ Preference will be given if have experience working on workwear Products.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
