Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator (Tier-2/Tier-3) to join our team. In this role, you will handle complex computer hardware, software, and network issues that Tier-1 support cannot resolve, assist users with solving technical problems, install and update systems, and collaborate with the HQ IT team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and clear communication with staff and vendors are essential.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 IT support onsite across factory units, resolving hardware, software, and network issues escalated from Tier-1 support.
Support Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune services—including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint—managing user accounts, devices, and application access.
Provide day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of SonicWall and FortiGate firewalls, working in coordination with the Portwest Infrastructure team and following agreed standards and change control.
Manage and troubleshoot onsite network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, patch panels, rack wiring, and LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, in line with Portwest network standards.
Administer and support Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, IIS, File Services, Group Policies), following centrally defined architecture and security standards.
Administer Ubuntu servers to support ERP systems (PHP/Laravel), including user and file access control, system backups, cron job scheduling, package updates, and basic troubleshooting.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot factory-based ERP and production automation systems (Pro-X4), ensuring smooth operation, system uptime, and production tracking workflows.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure data backup, system integrity, and IT security compliance.
Create and maintain knowledgebase articles, IT documentation, asset inventory, and user access logs, and provide end-user training on IT equipment and internal applications.
Support internal and external IT audits, ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, and coordinate with ISPs and vendors for IT hardware, software procurement, and services.
Maintain CCTV systems ( NVR, cameras), PA and PBX systems (IP PBX experience a plus), and support video conferencing and projector operations.
