Responsibilities & Context:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Node.js.
Lead the technical implementation of multiple software products simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery.
Take ownership of system architecture, backend design, database optimization, and API development.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs, WebSocket services, background jobs, and microservices where appropriate.
Review code submitted by team members and maintain high engineering standards through code reviews and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers through technical discussions, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
Break down business requirements into technical solutions and provide accurate development estimations.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in architectural discussions and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Ensure proper documentation of system architecture, APIs, and development workflows.
Promote clean code principles, coding standards, testing, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
Assist in sprint planning, technical task allocation, and project execution while helping the team meet delivery deadlines.
Stay updated with emerging backend technologies, cloud platforms, AI integrations, and modern software development practices.
