ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a self-motivated Software Engineering Intern who's excited to learn by doing. This is an individual contributor role, you'll have access to mentorship and guidance from our senior engineers, but our team runs lean and fast, so you won't always have someone available to walk you through every step. 

We're looking for someone who's comfortable figuring things out, taking ownership of tasks end-to-end, and reaching out proactively when they need direction, not waiting to be told what's next. 

If you're someone who enjoys solving problems independently and takes pride in seeing a task through from start to finish, this role will help you grow fast.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently handle assigned development tasks across the stack - from writing code to testing to deployment with minimal hand-holding;

• Design, build, test, and debug features for web and/or mobile applications, taking full ownership of your assigned modules

• Work directly with databases - writing queries, managing schema changes, and ensuring data integrity for your tasks;

• Handle basic DevOps responsibilities such as deployments, environment setup, and troubleshooting issues in staging/production as needed;

• Proactively flag blockers, ask focused questions, and seek guidance from seniors when truly stuck - rather than waiting passively;

• Document your work clearly so others (and future-you) can follow it;

• Communicate progress regularly, even without being asked;
  

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have:

• Recently completed a degree or currently pursuing in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;

• Solid understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, Python, Java);

• Working knowledge of databases (writing queries, basic schema design, replication);

• Comfortable being self-directed able to research, troubleshoot, and problem-solve independently;

• Basic understanding of testing practices (manual or automated);\

• Familiarity with Git/version control;

• Strong ownership mindset - you follow through on tasks without needing constant check-ins;

• Good communication skills in English and Bangla;

Good to Have:

• Exposure to any modern framework (React, Laravel, Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript etc.);

• Basic DevOps exposure (deployment pipelines, servers, hosting environments);

• Understanding of REST APIs;

• Prior personal or academic projects (GitHub portfolio a plus);

• Interest in AI/ML, POS/ERP domain solutions;
  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• This is an independent, high-ownership role - great for someone who wants to fast-track their learning by working directly on real, live projects rather than sitting through long training cycles.

• Seniors are available for guidance and mentorship, but you're expected to drive your own tasks forward.

• Strong potential for full-time conversion based on performance and initiative shown.
