Qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or systems integration roles.

Strong hands-on and design expertise across the following domains:

• Data Center: Servers, storage, HCI, virtualization, container, SDDC, etc.

• Networking & Security: Firewalls, WAF, PAM, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, etc.Cloud: Public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms

• BCP/DR: Backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutionsProven experience working with leading OEMs such as HPE, Juniper, Oracle, Palo Alto, and F5 (or equivalent).Solid understanding of tender processes, procurement cycles, licensing models, warranty, and commercial terms. 

Preferred attributes

• Experience delivering solutions for government, banking and large enterprise customers.

• Knowledge of local and global support expectations, including product lifecycle awareness, 24×7 global TAC, and in-country depot/spares support.

• Proficiency in MS Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and other required documentation and collaboration tools.

• Relevant technical certifications (vendor-neutral or OEM-specific) will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

The role is designed for professionals who will manage and contribute to the Technical Product & Solution Design function. The incumbent is expected to gain hands-on exposure in installation, support, and maintenance activities within cross-functional teams, enabling strong practical grounding before independently leading solution design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Design & Pre-Sales

• Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with customer requirements, business objectives, and industry best practices.

• Prepare and present technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), and solution architecture diagrams.

• Conduct technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, and solution validation workshops.

• Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, including technical compliance, assumptions, and solution differentiators.

• Ensure proposed solutions comply with product lifecycle status, licensing models, warranty terms, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.

OEM & Technology Collaboration

• Work closely with OEMs and solution providers across infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud domains.

• Analyze OEM and competitor solutions, pricing structures, and commercial models to prepare competitive proposals.

• Maintain updated knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Conduct market research and identify potential solution components aligned with client needs.

• Identify new business opportunities, solution providers, and technology partners.

• Support sales activities including client meetings, solution presentations, reference materials, and proposal documentation.

• Maintain and update client interactions, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients through proactive, timely, and value-driven engagement.

• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to implement growth and client-retention strategies.

Operational Exposure

• Participate in hands-on installation, support, and maintenance activities to ensure solution feasibility, performance, and supportability.

• Collaborate with delivery and operations teams to ensure smooth transition from design to implementation.
