Experience:

• 3 to 5 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology

• Bachelor's degree in CSE, IT, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience.

• Strong practical candidates without a matching degree may also be considered.

• Diagnoses issues methodically rather than guessing — checks the fundamentals first.

• Comfortable being the go-to person for everything from a firewall rule to a jammed printer.

• Documents work and keeps configurations tidy, so systems stay maintainable, not just "working."

• Stays calm under pressure when something business-critical goes down.

• Takes ownership of IT assets and security with minimal supervision.

• CCNA / MTCNA / MTCRE or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Cisco/BDCOM, Docker, Apache/Nginx, MariaDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL, Zimbra/ Roundcube and backup systems is an advantage.

What You Bring

• Strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLAN, routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

• Hands-on experience with MikroTik RouterOS, including firewall configuration and network troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server / Active Directory.

• Basic administration experience with VMware ESXi or Proxmox.

• Microsoft 365 administration and email troubleshooting experience.

• Solid hardware, operating system, and network troubleshooting skills.

Preferred

• CCNA/ MTCNA / MTCRE certification or equivalent practical experience. Exposure to Cisco/ BDCOM equipment, Docker, Apache/ Nginx, MariaDB/ MySQL/ PostgreSQL, Zimbra/ Roundcube, or backup systems is an advantage.

Your Role in Our Mission

• As our IT Executive, you will be the hands-on custodian of the technology that keeps MRM VENTURES LTD running — from the network and servers to the laptops, CCTV, and email systems used every day by our teams in the office and in the field. You will be equally comfortable configuring a firewall, restoring a backup, or walking a colleague through a printer issue.

• The way you maintain, secure, and troubleshoot our systems will directly shape how smoothly our research, marketing, and administrative teams operate — and, in turn, how well we can keep serving farmers across Bangladesh.

How You'll Make an Impact

Network & Security

• Configure and troubleshoot MikroTik routers and switches, including VLANs, routing, NAT, firewall rules, VPN, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi.

• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues across office and field locations.

Server & Infrastructure Management

• Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, file/application services, and system monitoring.

• Manage virtual machines, storage, and RAID on VMware ESXi or Proxmox, along with underlying server hardware.

Microsoft 365 & Email Administration

• Administer Microsoft 365 users and licenses, and support Outlook/email issues.

• Maintain basic email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to keep company email deliverable and secure.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Monitor backup jobs, perform data restores, and troubleshoot backup failures.

• Support basic disaster-recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.

End-User & Hardware Support

• Provide hands-on support for PCs, laptops, printers, CCTV/NVR, IP devices, and other office IT equipment.

• Maintain IT asset records and ensure equipment is properly deployed and accounted for.

IT Security, Documentation & Vendors

• Maintain patching, access control, and up-to-date IT documentation.

• Coordinate with ISPs and hardware/software vendors to resolve issues and manage service requests.
