Experiance on Zabbix/Libra NMS or any other NMS will be preffered.
Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, Policy-Based Routing, VRRP.
Broadband Technologies: PPPoE, DHCP, NAT, RADIUS integration, IPv4/IPv6, Private Peering, IP Address Management.
Monitoring & Automation: Zabbix, LibreNMS, Cacti, Grafana, SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, Syslog
Experience: At least 5 years of work experience in related field and 2 years’ experience in core network
• Provide Layer-3 (final technical escalation) support for customer network issues after L-1 and L-2.
• Support the customer support team in onboarding customers with complex network requirements (BGP, VRF/L3VPN, static and dynamic routing, dedicated links).
• Lead root cause analysis on customer-impacting faults and coordinate with upstream providers and vendors until resolution.
• Monitor ticket SLAs, escalation paths, and repeat-fault trends, and report them to management.
• Maintain an incident/RCA log linking root causes to corrective actions.
• Oversee day-to-day operation, uptime, and performance of all PoPs against SLA targets (99.9%+ availability).
• Manage rack space, power, cooling, and cabling records for each PoP.
• Plan and supervise new PoP builds, link upgrades, and equipment installations or migrations.
• Apply network resiliency practices: redundant paths, fast reroute (FRR), BFD, graceful restart.
• Coordinate site access, field technicians, and vendor visits.
• Conduct scheduled physical audits of PoP hardware (routers, switches, transceivers, cards, cables) against the asset register.
• Maintain the inventory log with serial numbers, warranty status, deployment location, and condition.
• Track end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) status of deployed equipment and flag it for replacement planning.
• Maintain the critical spares list (routers, line cards, SFPs/optics, power supplies, fans), keep spares configuration-ready, and coordinate with procurement to replenish after use.
• Deploy, configure, update, and maintain monitoring platforms (Zabbix, LibreNMS, Cacti, Nagios, etc.).
• Ensure all critical elements (routers, switches, OLTs, firewalls, links, servers) are onboarded, with thresholds and alert rules tuned to minimize false positives and negatives.
• Ensure alerts reach the right on-call person and the NOC in time.
• Ensure data and infrastructure backup of NMS systems for quick disaster recovery.
• Produce uptime, utilization, and SLA reports, and use the data for proactive fault detection and capacity planning.
• Manage the office LAN, Wi-Fi, switching, firewall, and internet connectivity, including the VLAN/IP schema, access policies, and staff VPN access.
• Support and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals, coordinating repairs, replacements, and warranty claims.
• Maintain the IT asset register and manage software licensing and renewals.
• Deploy, update, and monitor anti-virus/endpoint protection and keep OS and application patching current on all workstations, laptops, and servers, aligned with the firewall and network security setup.
• Define, implement, and enforce standard IT policies covering acceptable use, password and access control, data backup, and removable media and software installation.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, email, access rights, device handover and return).
• Maintain documented IT SOPs and audit compliance periodically, reporting violations or risks to management.
• Maintain current physical and logical network diagrams, including redundancy paths.
• Keep the IP addressing schema, VLAN/VRF tables, and routing policy documentation updated after every change.
• Maintain versioned configuration backups for all core devices on a defined schedule.
• Document SOPs for recurring operations (failover procedures, spare replacement, escalation paths).
