Responsibilities & Context:

• Maintain, administer, and monitor the network infrastructure of Bashundhara Sports City, including switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, servers, and related network equipment.

• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network devices, operating systems, applications, and connectivity to ensure uninterrupted IT services across offices, facilities, sports venues, commercial areas, and other operational locations.

• Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, connectivity, and system availability, and take proactive measures to minimize downtime and improve overall network reliability.

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewall policies, access control, VLANs, endpoint protection, secure Wi-Fi, antivirus solutions, and other security controls to protect organizational data and IT infrastructure.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, internet, email, and system-related issues, providing timely technical support to users and coordinating with relevant internal teams and external service providers when required.

• Perform regular backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities for critical network and IT systems in coordination with the IT team.

• Configure and manage network access, user permissions, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, and other network services according to organizational requirements and security policies.

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure supporting CCTV/IP surveillance, access control, IP telephony, digital signage, smart facilities, and other technology-enabled services of Bashundhara Sports City.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, and replacement of faulty network hardware, cables, access points, switches, routers, and other components to ensure continuous operation.

• Maintain proper documentation of network architecture, IP address allocation, device configurations, network assets, maintenance activities, incidents, and system changes.

• Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), system integrators, vendors, and contractors for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning of network infrastructure.

• Assist in designing, implementing, testing, and upgrading network infrastructure for new facilities, sports venues, offices, events, and expansion projects within Bashundhara Sports City.

• Operate network monitoring and management tools to identify connectivity issues, security threats, performance bottlenecks, and potential failures before they affect business operations.

• Provide technical guidance and support to IT team members and users regarding network connectivity, system access, hardware/software issues, and basic information security practices.

• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, information security standards, operational procedures, and applicable technology best practices.

• Prepare regular reports on network performance, incidents, downtime, maintenance activities, security issues, equipment status, and improvement requirements for management review.
