Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile App Developer (Flutter) to join our product development team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our production-grade Broker-hosted Order Management System (OMS) and its mobile applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Android and iOS applications, integrating mobile applications with backend services and APIs, implementing new functionality, resolving production issues, and ensuring a reliable and responsive user experience.

As our OMS is used in a time-sensitive financial environment, the role requires particular attention to application stability, performance, security, data integrity, API reliability, and usability.

The position will involve working closely with backend developers, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, Business Analysts, and product management.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance production-grade mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.

• Implement new features and improvements based on approved product requirements.

• Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable Flutter components.

• Ensure consistent application behavior across supported Android and iOS devices.

• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and other backend services.

• Implement real-time data updates where required by the OMS.

• Develop and maintain authentication, authorization, session management, and other security-related functionality.

• Implement push notifications and other mobile communication mechanisms.

• Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, and network utilization.

Production Support & Maintenance

• Investigate and resolve mobile application defects reported by QA, support teams, and clients.

• Analyze production issues using application logs, crash reports, API responses, and other diagnostic information.

• Participate in root-cause analysis of production incidents.

• Implement bug fixes without introducing regressions.

• Support emergency fixes and controlled production releases when required.

• Monitor crash and performance reports and proactively address recurring problems.

API & Backend Integration

• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs into mobile applications.

• Validate API contracts, request/response structures, authentication mechanisms, and error handling.

• Handle network failures, timeouts, retries, and unexpected API responses appropriately.

• Ensure sensitive information is handled securely on the mobile device.

• Assist backend developers in identifying API-related issues affecting mobile applications.

Quality & Release Management

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Conduct unit and widget testing where appropriate.

• Participate in code reviews.

• Work closely with QA engineers to reproduce and resolve defects.

• Perform developer-level testing before handing builds over to QA.

• Assist with regression testing of mobile applications.

• Prepare release builds for Android and iOS.

• Assist with application deployment and version management.

• Ensure production releases comply with established development and QA procedures.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with Business Analysts and Product Managers to understand requirements.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Provide technical estimates for mobile development tasks.

• Maintain appropriate technical documentation for mobile applications.

• Keep up to date with Flutter, Dart, Android, iOS, and mobile security developments.

• Mentor junior developers where appropriate.
