• Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in the field of agriculture, agriculture insurance, agro-industries & input, agriculture value chains & market systems development, and agri-finance with any renowned NGOs, MFIs, companies or donor projects.

• Knowledge of microinsurance/agriculture insurance; actuarial science background is an advantage.

• Strong skills in data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting.

• Proficiency in Python, R, SPSS, GIS, or similar data analysis tools is preferred.

• Strong command of MS Office, especially advanced Excel and information management systems.

• Ability to analyze weather, satellite, and BMD data and generate actionable insights.

• Good understanding of digital platforms, databases, and ERP systems.

• Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.

• Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Job Purpose: The role will be responsible for managing and leveraging data, IT systems, and project support functions to strengthen agriculture insurance initiatives, improve product development and weather-based advisory services, support claims management, enable digital service delivery, and monitor project performance.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing satellite, weather, BMD, and other relevant data to support agriculture insurance activities.

• Support insurance product development and review through data analysis, documentation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate and communicate with insurance companies, service providers, and other stakeholders regarding product implementation and policy-related activities.

• Monitor weather information and extreme weather events and assist in claims verification and settlement processes.

• Prepare and disseminate weather forecasts and agriculture advisory information to farmers in consultation with relevant specialists.

• Provide support in the operation, maintenance, and improvement of digital platforms, databases, ERP systems, and other technology solutions used in the project.

• Maintain project databases, track performance indicators, analyze data, and prepare regular reports, updates, and documentation.

• Conduct field visits, support stakeholder capacity development, and monitor project activities to ensure quality implementation and accurate data collection.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
