World Concern in Bangladesh is searching an energetic, smart & potential candidate for the following key position based in Dhaka. Detail of position and other necessary requirement for the position is described as below:
∎ Pursing World Concern`s vision of "A World Transformed From Poverty to Abundance of Life", the Head of World Concern Bangladesh`s Microcredit & Economic Development Program (HMCEDP) will provide effective servant leadership to deliver qualitative and quantitative growth of present microcredit, savings as well as new and innovative products & Services through our MFI. The ideal candidate has a history of success in leading and developing MFIs and designing, securing funds and implementing impact through economic development, which includes livelihoods & food security with the integration of World Concern`s Transformational Development approach into throughout WC programs.
∎ Location: Dhaka domicile with extensive travel to field program areas
∎ Reports to: CEO of World Concern Bangladesh / Country Director
∎ Supervises: Finance Manager, Area MFI Managers; Collaborates with World Concern HR, Admin & Program support functions
∎ Length of Contract: One year-renewable based on performance, budget and strategy

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Key Directions (10%)
∎ Develops, monitors and implements short- and long-term business plan
∎ Reports directly to the CEO/Country Director to co-develop directions for MCP and Economic Development Programs aligned to country strategy.
∎ Represents WCB to MRA, PKSF, related INGO clusters, MNC/PPP and other networks.
∎ Develops and delivers key performance indicators for the MFI; Ensures compliance to MRA rules and regulations as well as WC policies and procedures.
∎ Co-Develops and implements MFI strategic plan that aligns to World Concern's global plans; contributes to WC grants based strategic plan.
∎ Drives value-based transformational culture where people excel and love to be part of; sets the tone and pace through personal example of intentional Christian lifestyle.
∎ 2. Board of Trustee Interaction in collaboration with CEO/CD
∎ Ensures timely and accurate preparation of Board Meetings in tandem with CEO.
∎ Relates with CEO, Board Chair and Executive Committee to develop pipeline of future trustees.
∎ Orients and engages Board members as ambassadors of World Concern's Vision,
∎ Mission, Values and overall program direction in Bangladesh
∎ 3. Achievement of annual targets and strategic goals (10%)
∎ Leads the institution in developing and then achieving the targets as defined and agreed in the business plans, as well as in accomplishing World Concern's strategic goals.
∎ 4. Fund Sourcing (10%)
∎ Negotiates effectively with creditors, grant bodies and other financial institutions, especially PKSF, for capital expansion opportunities.
∎ Ensures compliance with conditions and reporting requirements.
∎ Support fundraising activities in the office for local/international funding opportunities.
∎ Support in building consortium
∎ 5. Financial Management (10%)
∎ Ensures that annual financial projections, reports and budget are prepared for board and World Concern on time.
∎ Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages WCMCP's resources within those budget guidelines.
∎ Ensures that effective and efficient financial management system is installed and maintained.
∎ Ensure that (WCMCP is on track for profitability at agreed Operational Self Sufficiency level or on track to be)
∎ Ensures effective banking system (management software) in place and links with larger WC country and global reporting system.
∎ 6. Risk Management (10%)
∎ Ensure that all loans are prudently disbursed.
∎ Ensures savings products are effectively priced and delivered.
∎ Ensures that effective internal control and risk management system is established and maintained.
∎ Ensures effective liquidity management.
∎ Ensure effective banking and financial systems are in place and are regularly updated!
∎ 7. Effective integration with World Concern and effective promotion of the national and global organization
∎ Ensure at national office and branch level integration strategies are fully understood, communicated and practiced.
∎ Actively promote joint livelihoods projects and program integration with World Concern
∎ Ensures that both WCMCP and World Concern's mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image.
∎ Develops networks and strategic alliances to positively influence economic policies.
∎ 8. Institutional strengthening, capacity and World Concern brand-building (10%)
∎ Provide effective Christ centered leadership.
∎ Ensure recruitment of competent senior and middle management
∎ Ensures effective staff development, succession planning and performance management systems are in place at all levels.
∎ Develops network with like-minded MFIs and non-formal financial providers.
∎ Promotes the work of World Concern with Board to Government, Corporate and Private Stakeholders to leverage resources and partnerships.
∎ 9. Policy formulation and compliance to MRA and World Concern policies
∎ Formulates and implements guidelines, procedures, internal regulations that are consistent with the policies set forth by the Board of Trust, World Concern, MRA and industry regulators.
∎ Prepares the MFI for new regulations through strong relationships with Microcredit Regulatory Agency (MRA) and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF)
∎ Engages PKSF organizational standards and global MFI benchmarks.
∎ Ensures ethics and accountability within the team. Take ownership of relevant policies and procedures and continue to mentor the team in them.
∎ 10. Levels of authority (5%)
∎ Approves and confirms staff appointment, promotion, demotion, and termination; Board and Country Director involved in decisions for direct report staffing decisions (one level under)
∎ Recommends, approves and final decisions based on authorities and responsibility matrix.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Model and demonstrate effective Christian leadership and able to lead daily devotions and apply scripture discern God's direction in planning and decision making (Lead Like Jesus practiced)
∎ Understands the role of micro finance in transformational development in communities, families and children.
∎ Ten years working experience in senior/executive management in a combination of the following: micro-enterprise lending organization, banking institution, a progressive corporate environment, international business, or economic and business development institution.
∎ Clear understanding of micro finance industry, banking and technology; has experience with gBanker or similar loan management systems.
∎ Good knowledge of and comfortable dealing with financial information
∎ Strong strategic skills; forward-thinking; innovates solutions to overcome various contextual constraints.
∎ Demonstrated value-guided relational success with government, donors and various stakeholders.
∎ Understands, articulates and integrates World Concern's transformational development approach into life and all WC program and operational activities, partners with Church and Christian organizations in Bangladesh and region.
∎ Fluent with and has demonstrated prior compliance to local regulatory requirements (MRA)
∎ Excellent communication and marketing skills (both written and verbal)
∎ Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team through a systematic, participative and clear change management process.
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
