Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Market linkage of the skills graduates for informal wage employment
∎ Mapping of potential stakeholders for self & wage employment and maintaining liaison with them
∎ Facilitate wage employment of the skills graduates as volunteers with BRAC and other organizations
∎ Support and facilitate self-employment of the skills graduates both in agriculture and business subsector
∎ Identify cultivable lands/fellow lands/ponds/other suitable options for agricultural productions and engage the skills graduate with those
∎ Follow up, tracking and database maintenance of the employment & earnings of the skills graduates, and reporting of the wage information of the graduates
∎ Explore and find the institutional participants (volunteer already engaged in jobs) for skills training
∎ Lead the role of the participant selection process for vocational training
∎ Volunteer recruitment, management, and documentation as per procedure/practice
∎ Make monthly payments to volunteers, skill training participants, laborers, utility bills, house/land rent, and others
∎ Support Deputy Manager- Market Linkage to contract/renewal of the contract of house/ training center/ land/ pond and any other rental items/issues
∎ Offer career counseling to the skills participants under the guidance of the supervisor
∎ Provide overall technical expertise guidance and management to the self-employed skills graduates
∎ Regular field visit, monitor, document and report work progress on daily and weekly basis
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by Supervisor/management
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ Project Officer-Self and Wage Employment is responsible to facilitate the self and wage employment of the skills graduates, and to work with other stakeholders in the camps that is relevant to that tasks under the guidance of Deputy Manager (Market linkage)
