∎ Qualifications:
∎ Minimum Master’s degree in Development, Gender Studies, Policy and Governance, Disability Studies, Education or relevant subject from Social Science or other related field is essential.
∎ Undergraduate or graduate degree preferably in education, disability studies, humanitarian aid/development or other related field.
∎ Knowledge & Skills:
∎ A thorough understanding of LEAP/TDI/CWBO/IPM and other global initiatives.
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, structure of the government including laws and policies formulation process, power dynamics, government relations.
∎ Theory of change and logical framework development
∎ Database management, statistical skills and ability to critically evaluate data
∎ Supervisor/Management, Interpersonal, organizational savvy, Problem solving, negotiation, communication and collaborative skills, time management, management ability
∎ Solid understanding of Gender and development and current situation in BangladeshSolid understanding of disability rights (including UNCRPD and Bangladesh mechanisms relating to this).
∎ Strong understanding of disability situation in Bangladesh and current GO/NGO mechanisms to address this. Understand the vision, mission of World Vision. Understand the Humanitarian industry
∎ Holistic Understanding of poverty and developmentUnderstanding of knowledge management

∎ At least 5 years’ experience in Sector Coordination in a complex, international organization preferably in NGO context.
∎ At least 5 years of experience in the field of Gender and/or Disability preferably in the Bangladesh NGO context.
∎ Experience of analyzing Government laws/policies for the purpose of policy advocacy.
∎ Proven knowledge and experience on CVA, understanding of social accountability
∎ Professional experience in resource/grants acquisition & management
∎ Extensive experience working with relevant government agencies as well as local and international NGOs
∎ Proven management ability
∎ Proven experience as a team player
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leading on the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the WVB’s gender action plan with a priority on advancing women’s empowerment through the WVB’s technical programs.
∎ Contributing to an effective national and local response to gender-based violence.
∎ Providing technical support to the program team to build overall technical capacity on activities related to gender analysis and programming focusing on equity, power relations and control of resources.
∎ Providing technical support to the program team to build overall technical capacity on activities related to disability inclusion following twin track approach (specific and mainstreaming).
∎ Influencing national and local level systems and structures for an inclusive and just society for children with disabilities·
∎ Facilitating CVA to ensure good governance practices at all level through capacity building, oversee and evidence building
∎ Analyzing relevant laws and policies related with WVB’s Country Strategy for appropriate policy positioning of WVB. Key Deliverables:
∎ Technical leadership to the program team on activities related to gender integration and sensitization including capacity building, gender analysis and programming.
∎ Follow up implementation of the Gender Policy of World Vision Bangladesh followed by decision making support to Senior Management Team.
∎ Coordinate and provide technical expertise and guidance to all parts of the organization in mainstreaming disability.
∎ Distil and document lessons for policy dialogue, public advocacy and future programming and organize dissemination of learning within the WVB team and with partners· Strengthen networking and advocacy related to disability and Gender.
∎ Analysis relevant public laws and policies in line with WVB’s strategy and promote the policy positioning of WVB.
∎ Strengthen good governance practices by oversee and supporting CVA facilitation process.
