Responsibilities & Context:
  • Prepare financial requisitions in accordance with approved project budgets and ensure proper budget availability before initiating expenditures.

  • Review program requisitions, verify budget compliance and supporting documents, obtain necessary approvals, and arrange payments accordingly.

  • Manage project advances, including issuance of advances, maintaining advance registers, monitoring outstanding advances, and ensuring timely adjustment and settlement.

  • Ensure proper day-to-day recording of all project financial transactions in Tally accounting software.

  • Maintain books of accounts in compliance with applicable statutory requirements, DRRA financial policies, donor requirements, and internal control procedures.

  • Manage project treasury functions, including fund requests, fund receipts, fund flow, disbursements, cash management, and timely adjustment of advances.

  • Review invoices, bills, payment requests, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper authorization, and compliance before processing payments.

  • Prepare and/or review payment bills, vouchers, expense summaries, advance statements, and reports on outstanding advances.

  • Support the preparation of regular Budget Variance Analysis Reports for project management and ensure timely identification of significant budget variances.

  • Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Verify travel statements, travel claims, and other reimbursement requests and ensure proper accounting and documentation.

  • Ensure that all project-related reimbursements and claims are properly accounted for, adequately supported by required documents, and reported as required by donors and DRRA management.

  • Prepare financial and administrative reports and information required by project management, donors, auditors, and DRRA management.

  • Maintain project administrative records, including employee files, attendance, leave records, official correspondence, and other relevant documentation.

  • Support to conduct project events, meetings, workshops, training, and other program activities.

  • Maintain stock of office consumables, including stationery and logistics items, and ensure proper recording and updating of stock registers.

  • Perform any other finance, accounts, and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.

  • Field visit – visit implementation locations in Manikganj.
