Experience:
Master’s degree in public health, behavioral science, anthropology, social science, communication, or a relevant field.
3–5 years of experience in SBCC program design, implementation, and monitoring.
At least 3 years of experience in public health communication, health education, or SBCC programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
Understanding of interventions related to the provision of medical abortion services.
Understanding of climate-resilient health/SRHR programming and environmentally responsible practices is an advantage.
Working knowledge of conceptualizing, implementing, and monitoring SBCC initiatives.
Experience in evidence generation, public health research, and/or SBCC program evaluation is preferred.
Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
Skills in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and other graphic design tools are preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel to the field at least 50% of the time.
Job Summary
The SBCC Associate-II will support the implementation, monitoring, documentation, and coordination of Social and Behavior Change Communiation (SBCC) interventions under the project. The SBCC approaches will address demand-side barriers, misinformation, stigma, social and gender norms, and barriers to accessing appropriate SRHR information and services, while promoting climate-resilient and environmentally responsible SRHR practices.
Working under the guidance of the Advisor-I, Community Access, the Associate-II will provide day-to-day support to implementing partners and project teams in implementing SBCC activities related to FP, MR, PAC, and other SRHR services. The position will support community engagement through Community Action Groups (CAGs), pharmacies and drug sellers, GPs, and other community actors.
The Associate-II will also support VCAT and stigma-reduction activities and the integration of climate-resilient and environmentally responsible SRHR practices into community engagement and SBCC interventions. The position will assist in developing and disseminating SBCC materials and digital content, conducting field monitoring, collecting and compiling program data, and documenting lessons and good practices. The position will work closely with Health Systems, RM&E, Gender Justice and GBV, and partner organizations to strengthen community-level demand generation and referral linkages within the Urban SRHR Service Network.
