We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts and Finance Officer to join our team in Dhaka at Creative Conservation Alliance (CCA) (registered as The Society for Conservation of Natural Resources - SCNR).
In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end closing, billing, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve internal controls, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and record monthly revenue, grant drawdowns, and project accruals.
Conduct balance sheet, income & expenditure, and project budget-vs-actual variance analyses.
Prepare NGO financial reporting packages, grant burn rates, and financial insights for Leadership/Board management.
Assist in preparing quarterly donor and financial disclosure reports.
Reconciliation & Regulatory Compliance:
Perform monthly balance sheet, bank, cash, and field advance reconciliations.
Prepare and submit Tax and VAT returns in compliance with national regulations and NGO financial guidelines.
Support statutory audits and donor-specific financial audits by preparing required schedules, documentation, and backup files.
Grant & Financial Management:
Maintain and update project financial databases, donor codes, and billing/reimbursement records.
Handle partner/grant invoicing, ensuring accuracy, documentation integrity, and timeliness.
Process Improvement & Operations Support:
Identify internal control gaps in NGO/field operations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Work closely with conservation project managers and field teams to align budget tracking with operational activities.
Respond to ad-hoc financial queries from internal teams, donors, and regulatory bodies.
Assist with special projects and conduct field visits to project sites as required.
