Responsibilities & Context:

Description of the position:

Tdh seeks qualified candidates for the Swiss Solidarity funded project in Daulatdia, Rajbari. Tdh is implementing a project to break the cycle of child sexual exploitation and abuse in Daulatdia brothel in Rajbari. The overall aim of the project is to protect children and adolescents in Daulatdia from commercial sexual exploitation by ensuring a safer and more supportive environment at the family, community and institutional systems level that promotes their well-being and rights.

The Case Worker will be based in Daulatdia, Rajbari with frequent field level activities.

Specific responsibilities:

Case Management

  • Identify and register vulnerable children, adolescents, youth, caregivers, and female sex workers through regular presence in the community, outreach activities, and referrals from other agencies and community structures.

  • Conduct initial rapid assessments to determine protection risks, educational needs, livelihood vulnerabilities, or risks of exploitation, prioritizing cases based on severity and urgency.

  • Develop individualized case management plans based on comprehensive assessments, in collaboration with the participant, their family, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Follow up regularly on active cases to ensure the timely provision of services outlined in the case plans, monitor participant progress, and adapt plans based on evolving needs.

  • Provide direct support to children, families, and youth through home visits, phone calls, referrals, emotional support, career counseling guidance, and linkages to appropriate education, livelihood, or protection services.

  • Mentor implementing partner’s volunteers, holding regular meetings, reviewing their work, and reporting on their performance to the Project Manager.

  • Coordinate alternative care arrangements for children at risk where family-based or other protective options are needed.

  • Participate in project monitoring and evaluation activities, including collecting feedback from beneficiaries on the quality and impact of case management services.

  • Support the management of emergency funds related to urgent participant needs, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

Child Protection/ Safeguarding

  • Promote and ensure CM activities are in line with the Child Protection Minimum Standards

  • Report serious cases of abuse committed against children to the safeguarding focal point. Strict confidentiality must be respected.

Coordination and representation

  • Work in close collaboration and coordination with Tdh partners and the key actors (formal and informal community leaders, local authorities, donor representatives)

  • Participate in meetings held at the local and national level, when relevant and necessary

Other

  • Fully comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and ensure Child Safeguarding Policy is upheld at all times

  • Ensure adherence to Tdh standards and quality requirements in all the project activities.
