  • Strong written and verbal communication skill in English and Bangla.

  • Experience of working in diverse cultural settings will be preferred.

  • Ability and willingness of extensive field travel is essential.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities & Context:

Project Brief: Ipas has been working successfully in Bangladesh to improve and expand women’s and girls’ access to safe, high-quality reproductive health services. However, the need for sexual and reproductive services, particularly safe Menstrual Regulation (MR), Post Abortion Care (PAC), is still tremendous. Ipas Bangladesh has been working with UNFPA since October 2017 in Cox’s Bazar to support the health of forcedly displaced Myanmar nationals. Since then, UNFPA developed implementing partnership with Ipas to establish the MR, PAC and FP services for the most affected refugee camp areas of Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar District. The overall goal of the project is to improve the availability and accessibility of quality FP, MR and PAC services at service delivery points for women and girls of Rohingya refugees and host community in Bangladesh and increase the awareness for the Rohingya community.
The specific objectives of the project are as follows:

  • To translate the “Family Planning Strategy for the Rohingya Refugee Crisis 2026–2030” into action through a collaborative process. This includes developing an action plan, strengthening coordination mechanisms, and supporting effective implementation.

  • To build and strengthen the capacity of clinical service providers working in humanitarian settings through training, onsite support, and clinical mentoring focused on contraceptive and MR/PAC services.

  • To ensure that project-supported facilities have well-trained, dedicated providers who are equipped with essential resources and able to deliver quality SRHR services, with a focus on FP, MR, and PAC.

  • To improve awareness among the Rohingya community by engaging Community Health Workers, religious leaders, and local influencers by strengthening their capacity on SRH services to help promote positive health-seeking behavior among this displaced population.

  • To strengthen coordination and collaboration among DGFP, DGHS, DGIF, UN agencies, RRRC, and CICs to support effective project implementation.

Job Summary: The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality comprehensive MR, PAC, and FP services at camp-level project facilities in line with national standard protocols for humanitarian settings. She will ensure the availability of required medical instruments, essential medicines, logistics, and commodities at facility level to create an enabling environment for Mid-level Service Providers (MLPs) to deliver comprehensive SRH services. She will plan monthly visit plan to the project sites to provide regular mentoring and monitoring support to project MLPs.
She will organize and facilitate capacity-building activities based on project needs, and will accurately document event and performance data in accordance with organizational protocols. The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will also contribute to the planning and implementation of project clinical activities as outlined in the work plan and donor requirements. Additionally, she will maintain effective coordination with government counterparts (RRRC, CIC, CS, DDFP) and other relevant stakeholders as required by the project.

Duration of Contract : September 2026 to December 2026 (renewable depending on the funding availability and performance)
Key Responsibilities
A. Capacity Building

  • Support the development of the annual training plan, and help design and coordinate training programs, including preparing training materials.

  • Conduct theoretical sessions and clinical practice sessions, and facilitate trainings as needed based on project demand.

  • Provide follow-up and on-site mentoring to trainees, and offer on-the-job mentoring support to Mid-Level Providers to strengthen skills, ensure skill retention, and improve service quality.

  • Assist the supervisor and project team in preparing training and event reports.

B. Clinical Mentoring and Monitoring

  • Provide technical guidance to Ipas’s seconded MLPs deployed through the implementing partner (BAPSA) as well as the SBCC team.

  • Ensure quality implementation at project sites by offering mentoring and monitoring support, using structured project and service monitoring tools. Plan and carry out joint monitoring visits as needed.

  • Maintain and regularly update a trainee and competency database for humanitarian settings, covering all individuals who received clinical training and mentoring support from Ipas.

  • Conduct Service Progress Reviews (SPR), provide constructive feedback to service providers, and share findings with the project team to guide planning and corrective actions.

  • Support the facilitation of Whole Site Orientation (WSO), VCAT sessions, and Infection Prevention orientations at the facility level to promote a supportive and enabling environment for service delivery.

C. Clinical Service Provision

  • The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will ensure the delivery of high-quality SRHR services including MR, PAC and FP services at camp-level project facilities.

  • She will provide services as needed to support the MLPs at facility level in line with standard protocols and guidelines while ensuring proper client counselling and maintaining infection prevention throughout service delivery.

D. Facility Readiness

  • The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will ensure that medical instruments, essential medicines, logistics, and commodities are available at facility level so Mid-Level Providers can deliver comprehensive SRHR services within their respective facilities.

  • She will verify that all job aids, manuals, and IEC materials relevant to project are in place and properly displayed to support smooth and effective service provision.

  • She will maintain regular communication with the Facility In-Charge, service providers, and staff of other partner NGOs of that facility to help create an enabling environment for delivering SRHR services.

E. Coordination with internal and external stakeholders:

  • Support the project team members in organizing program review and coordination meeting as per project work plan.

  • Attend need based different meetings with donor, stakeholders, orientation coordination meetings

  • Reports to Supervisor and Project Manager about workflow, deadlines, reports

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

F. Documentation and Reporting

  • The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will record performance data in the approved reporting format and share it with the designated manager according to the guidelines.

  • She will ensure all client cards are completed accurately and review and analyze service data to support performance improvement.

  • The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will report any Serious Adverse Events as per organizational protocol without delay.

G. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor



Job Other Benifits:
    • Ipas Bangladesh will offer a monthly consolidated salary of BDT 110,000, no other benefits.
