Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Youth Engagement Activities: Support the overall coordination and timely implementation of the nine youth-focused interventions under the project in consultation with the Project Focal Point.

  • Support Development of Inclusion Guidelines: Coordinate with the technical expert to develop, review, finalize, and disseminate Equitable Participation Guidelines and support their adoption among CEF partner organizations.

  • Youth Selection & Mobilization: Coordinate with CEF partners to identify and select youth facilitators, Changemakers, Emerge Group members, and other youth representatives across eight divisions based on agreed selection criteria and inclusion principles.

  • Training Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating Training of Trainers (ToT) programs, including participant selection, logistics, training materials, communication, attendance, documentation, and follow-up.

  • Gender Inclusion Capacity Building: Support the implementation of ToTs on gender inclusion for youth facilitators and facilitate the integration of learning into regular youth group activities.

  • Youth Group Sessions: Coordinate and monitor sessions conducted by trained youth facilitators during monthly/quarterly youth group meetings and maintain activity records, participant data, and learning outcomes.

  • Youth Connect Quarterly Camps: Coordinate periodic Youth Connect camps, including participant mobilization, agenda development, resource-person coordination, logistics, peer-learning activities, and documentation of key learning and recommendations.

  • CEF Network Day Observances: Support CEF partners in jointly planning and implementing national and international day observances through coordinated action plans, communication materials, schedules, and youth-led advocacy initiatives.

  • Youth Fair & Recognition Awards: Support the planning and organization of the annual Year-End Youth Fair, including youth participation, stakeholder engagement, exhibition/showcase arrangements, recognition awards, and dissemination of youth achievements and learning.

  • Youth Policy Engagement: Facilitate meaningful youth participation in dialogues and engagements with the National Youth Council, relevant ministries, and other stakeholders, ensuring that youth perspectives and recommendations are appropriately documented and communicated.

  • Youth Internship Program: Coordinate the implementation of the inclusive internship program for Gender-Diverse Youth, including identification of potential host organizations, participant matching, communication with interns and hosts, follow-up, and documentation of learning and outcomes.

  • Partnership & Network Coordination: Maintain regular communication with CEF partner organizations, youth clusters, Changemakers, facilitators, host organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.

  • Monitoring & Follow-up: Track activity progress against approved workplans, targets, timelines, and indicators; identify implementation gaps; and follow up with responsible partners to ensure timely completion.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare activity briefs, meeting minutes, participant databases, success stories, case examples, photographs where appropriate, learning notes, and other project documentation while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and safeguarding standards.

  • Knowledge Management: Capture good practices, lessons learned, youth innovations, and emerging issues from different divisions and contribute to knowledge products, policy briefs, advocacy materials, and communication outputs.

  • Communication & Visibility: Support the development and dissemination of youth-focused communication materials and ensure that project communications promote inclusive, respectful, safe, and non-discriminatory participation.

  • Safeguarding & Inclusion: Ensure that all youth engagement activities uphold principles of equity, non-discrimination, accessibility, confidentiality, safeguarding, and meaningful participation, particularly for Hijra and Gender Based Marginalized youth.

  • Administrative & Logistical Support: Assist with event logistics, procurement coordination, travel arrangements, participant communication, payment documentation, and other administrative requirements related to youth activities in coordination with relevant Bandhu teams.

  • Reporting to Management: Provide regular progress updates to the Project Focal Point and promptly flag implementation challenges, risks, and opportunities requiring management attention.
