This position is responsible to lead camp-level emergency preparedness, contingency planning, disaster risk assessment, and response activities and strengthen volunteer capacity, community-based disaster risk management, and coordination with camp actors to ensure effective and timely emergency response.

• Implementation, and regular review of the Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) strategy and Emergency Response Plan at camp level.

• Conduct disaster risk and vulnerability assessments, including mapping of fire, cyclone, flood and other hazards, and recommend appropriate risk reduction measures.

• Develop and implement contingency, scenario, and anticipatory action plans, including early warning systems, evacuation arrangements, safe zones, and pre-positioning of emergency supplies.

• Organize and coordinate disaster drills, simulations, and emergency response exercises in collaboration with CiC, Fire Service, CPP, government authorities, and humanitarian partners.

• Lead and supervise EPR/CCCM volunteer groups, ensuring regular training, preparedness, equipment availability, and effective deployment during emergencies.

• Strengthen the capacity of staff, volunteers, community leaders, and partners through training, awareness sessions, workshops, and practical demonstrations on disaster preparedness and response.

• Ensure meaningful community participation and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) by integrating community feedback, concerns, and the needs of vulnerable groups into EPR planning and implementation.

• Coordinate effectively with Camp Management, CiC, sector leads, UN agencies, government authorities, and humanitarian partners to ensure harmonized and timely EPR actions.

• Ensure proper logistics, emergency stock management, documentation, monitoring, and timely reporting of EPR and DRR activities.

• Ensure the safety of programme participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
