Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Responsible for all technical activities, and climate adaptive activities at assigned location/s under the supervision of the Project Focal / Supervisor.
∎ Support Organize the project inception meeting with different-level stakeholder.
∎ Ensure the selection of beneficiaries according to criteria defined in the proposal and validate it by respective authorities.
∎ HH survey using KOBO tools.
∎ Support Prepare Community level LAPA and DM plan report.
∎ Identify and implement climate adaptive agricultural activities
∎ Support to Implementation of Co-financing activity at the Project area.
∎ Organized Upazila/City level Meeting workshop
∎ Organize Advocacy and awareness sessions.
∎ Conduction Youth Training on Agriculture
∎ Conduction Project inception and Exit meeting at project locations ▪ Ensure inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guidelines during participant selection and other steps of implementation.
∎ Implementation of the assigned project’s technical activities
∎ Prepare field movement and technical activity plan, approve it with the supervisor and ensure strict alignment with the plan.
∎ Support / Participate in different need assessments, impact evaluations, post-distribution monitoring (PDM)/ need assessment, Evaluation etc.
∎ Ensure other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Maintain coordination and cooperation with the other team.
∎ Engage in effective community mobilization within IR guidelines and compliances.
∎ Be aligned with the agreed time, cost and quality constrains of the project to enable delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits.
∎ Support to ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.
∎ Set up agricultural demonstration.
∎ Regular monitoring of Agriculture related activities at the beneficiary level.
∎ Regular HH visit, providing technical assistance and follow up the asset growth.
∎ Follow up using training knowledge by the SHG members
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, materials & inform project focal / supervisor.
∎ Facilitate preparing HH adaptation plan and follow up progress ▪ Ensure collection monthly MIS data.
∎ Collection data of demonstration plot (Yield data, cost-benefit data, adaptability data etc.
∎ Organize and facilitate IGA skill training
∎ Organize and facilitate leadership training
∎ Facilitate group management training
∎ Conduction training on smart agriculture
∎ Conduction with SHG for Adaptive agriculture
∎ Technical support to SHG and beneficiary’s community level for LLA technique.
∎ Capacity development training facilitation on LLA and Adaptive agriculture related for all the project participants and DMCS and CBOS leaders.
∎ Training follow up, hands on training at HH level and training refreshers.
∎ Supportive supervision of subordinate staffs and CBO/SHG/REG leaders to carry out their routine work effectively.
∎ Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving and visibility according to the project need-5%
∎ Prepare bill & check the bills vouchers.
∎ Support supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative report as per proposal and project need.
∎ Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project related documents and ensure sending to Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
∎ Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case Study etc.) required to ensure project visibility.
∎ Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guideline.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with market actors
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with DAE /DLS/DOF
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with Union and upazila office.
∎ Establish and maintain an effective coordination mechanism with key stakeholders of the project.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meetings at Union and City level.
∎ Assist in the phase-out meeting and lesson learned workshop for further organizational development.
∎ Collect successful project completion letter form relevant authorities.
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Support to Implementation of the Emergency projects as per IRCO requirements.
∎ Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, inventory, and another essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project resources, staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
