∎ Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/UN bodies/Government; Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports

Job Context:
∎ World Concern Bangladesh, an International Non-Government Organization has micro-finance programs, education program, health program, disaster preparedness program and capacity building and organizational development program both in rural and urban areas.; We are searching an energetic, experienced & potential candidate for the position of `Monitoring and Evaluation Officer` for donor funded projects of World Concern Bangladesh.
∎ Role Overview: Responsible for monitoring project activities, output, outcome & impact and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that donor funded projects maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended output in a cost effective and timely manner. He will be responsible for designing and implementing the M & E activities of all projects; assisting all Program Managers in preparing Quarterly/Annual reports on project progress and will monitor the project activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining the MIS of the Project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities. He will work in close collaboration and closely with donor based projects teams and operations clusters, Government officials, private sector, non-government and civil society organizations.
∎ Location/work station: Working Location is at Country Office, World Concern Bangladesh, Dhaka but he/she needs to travel on frequent basis in different working areas of donor funded projects.
∎ Contract Length:1 year renewable
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ To design appropriate monitoring methodologies, tools and techniques both for qualitative and quantitative aspects;
∎ To develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures;
∎ To monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
∎ To monitor project according to project logical framework and recommend further improvement of the logical frame work if needed;
∎ To develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
∎ To monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
∎ To monitor the sustainability of the project's results;
∎ To provide feedback to the related authorities on project strategies and activities;
∎ To suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
∎ To plan and prepare report as a technical staff on monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual progress on all project activities to the Country Director, Program Coordinator, donors and others as per action plan and proper implementation of the project;
∎ To conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system; develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
∎ To provide day-to-day technical assistance to the project staff at the field offices in order to coordinate, collection, compilation and feedback of field based data.
∎ To provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team and World Concern Bangladesh (WCB);
∎ To participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Manager in preparing relevant reports;
∎ To Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project;
∎ To assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M & E/MIS;
∎ Assist the project personnel with M & E tools and in supporting them in their use;
∎ To prepare Case studies and prepare news for the stakeholders and other related media
∎ To perform other duties as may be assigned from the authority.
∎ Measurable Outputs and Performance Indicators: Preparation of monthly MIS reports, monthly, quarterly reports on project progress & other relevant reports, organize and conduct training on M&E/MIS for project and government staff, preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations; provide input and update information related to project outcome in WCB and GOB website, prepare Issue Log and Risk Log for the project, develop M&E system for the project and for the government counterpart/stakeholders and prepare and maintain data base.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 35 years
∎ IT experience: Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software and expert in analyzing data using statistical software.
∎ Languages: Excellent level of written and spoken English and Bengali.

∎ Excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners, Respectful and helpful relations with donors and project staff
∎ Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
∎ Self-Management:-
