Experience:

At least 15 years’ experience on implementing relevant projects at local and/or national level. (Minimum 08 years in a managerial position)
Experience:
At least 15 years of total professional experience in the development sector, including right based initiatives
Proven track record of at least 08 years in a managerial position.
Prior experience working with marginalized communities including climate vulnerable community is highly desirable.
Technical & Essential Skills:
Project planning and coordination to ensure timely and quality implementation
Networking with development Partner, Project Partners, CSOs and CBOs, Local Government Institutions (LGIs), Service Delivery Institutions (SDIs) and community
Facilitation of training, workshop, seminar, symposium and meeting at local and national level as per project plan
Staff supervision at central and partners’ level
Developing quality reports for organization, donor and to disseminate other stakeholders

Job Context
WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing multifaceted activities for the socio economic development of the poor and marginalized as well as the establishment of universal human rights and good governance. Besides, the organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto 'Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing 'A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 5 programs: 1) Microfinance 2) Agroecology focused Agri-food System Transformation 3) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Community Development and Youth Empowerment 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion.
WAVE Foundation is implementing a project titled ‘Gender Equality Transforms Climate Action (GETCA)’ for the period from 18 December 2024 to 17 June 2027. It aims to empower women in climate action by developing leadership skills, implementing gender-responsive approaches, and developing partnerships for effective knowledge-sharing and scalable solutions. This initiative is supported by the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) Programme, funded by Switzerland, Canada and the European Union and managed by the GFA Consulting Group. WAVE Foundation leads a consortium comprising 4 partners across Rajshahi and Barishal divisions. The implementation area spans 15 upazilas and 90 unions under Barishal, Barguna, Patuakhali, Rajshahi and Naogaon districts. WAVE Foundation is seeking qualified candidate for the position of the ‘Project Manager’ of this project.
Job Summary
Project Manager is reportable to the Executive Director and Program Manager (Governance, Rights & Justice) of WAVE Foundation and responsible for overall program design, implementation including staff development and financial management, designing and conducting the training, workshop/seminars, field level supervision, monitoring and timely reporting to the donor. National level networking with relevant stakeholders and partnership management is one of the major roles of the position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Implementation
Prepare work plan with budget & guideline for implementation of activities in quality manner
Take the lead in project planning and coordination to ensure timely and quality implementation of all interventions
Coordinate and providing necessary technical support to ensure smooth implementation of the project activities
Facilitate to present project goal/objective in various Upazila, District and national level events
Designing and controlling the project schedule
Facilitate training, workshop and group discussion
2. Monitoring and Supervision
Regular Basis Field visit and prepare report submission to respective management focal
Provide necessary feedback to District Coordinator and Upazila Coordinator for effective implementation
Support the process of M&E and learning sharing among all stakeholders at local level
Attend & observe different events both at local & national level for providing feedback
Capture the field implementation gap/limitations and take initiative to overcome
3. Liaison, Communication and Networking
Contact and coordination with Development Partner, Project Partners, Climate Advocacy Forum (CAF), Civic Forum (Loak Morcha-LM), Local Government Institutions (LGIs), different Service Delivery Institutions (SDIs) and also with the community
Maintain liaison with concerned department, division, directorate and others Govt. officials both at Local & National level
Preparing presentations to update senior management on the project’s progress and showcase the project’s value
4. Staff development & performance Appraisal
Identifying the limitations and potentialities of project staff as well as providing necessary recommendations towards staff development
Coach & mentor, the field staff (District Coordinators, Upazila Coordinators) to improve their required skills
Coordinate & providing technical support for conducting training
Performance Appraisal of project staff through their planning, implementation, managerial & administration capacities
5. Reporting
Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, half-yearly & Yearly report, materials/ documents submission to Donor & Executive Director in time
Carry out necessary documentation as well as qualitative and quantitative report development in English and Bangla
Salary Range: BDT 80,000 – 83,000 per month with other admissible benefits as per the organization's policy/project provision. Salary and other admissible benefits (if any) are inclusive of all taxes as imposed by the government of Bangladesh. Taxes will be deducted at sources as per government rules.
