Experience:
Age: Minimum 25 years.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience for male candidates and 3 years for female candidates in legal services, NGO/development work, human rights, or related fields.
• Enrollment with the Bangladesh Bar Council as an Advocate is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of women and children’s rights, family laws, GBV, sexual harassment, and cyber security related laws.
• Experience in community engagement, awareness-raising, advocacy, and field-level activities.
• Strong managerial, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to prepare reports and documentation in Bangla and English.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and email communication.
• Willingness to undertake field visits and travel as required.
• Requirements may be relaxed for highly qualified and experienced candidates.

Job Context: BLAST seeks a qualified and experienced District Project Officer (DPO) for Gazipur District. The District Project Officer (DPO) will be based in the designated project/unit offices and will be responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and reporting project activities at the district level. The DPO will work closely with legal service teams, paralegals, stakeholders, and district legal aid offices to ensure the effective delivery of project outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee SHIKHA project activities at the district level.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of paralegals.
Liaise and collaborate with the District Legal Aid Offices and other stakeholders.·
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders as required.·
Collect, compile, and prepare monthly reports and data updates for project and legal activities.
Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure smooth information flow.
Ensure sensitivity towards safeguarding, gender, disability, and diversity.
Provide legal aid services, including client interviews, mediation, litigation support, and case management.
Scrutinize cases as per BLAST’s Litigation Policy and conduct mediation according to BLAST’s Mediation Guidelines.
Represent BLAST in court proceedings and coordinate with Panel Lawyers.
Maintain and update case records and the Case Management System (CMS) regularly.
Perform other duties assigned by the authority as needed.
Costs of any field work will be borne by the organization.
