Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 22 years
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience in the relevant area. Applicants who have working experience in hard to reach areas will be given preference.
  • Skill and Competencies:
  • Understanding of health education principles and BCC strategies.
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Highly committed & motivated to work in remote places. 


Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible for:

  • Conduct health education programs and workshops that address the needs of the community, focusing on topics such as nutrition, disease prevention, mental health, GBV, hygiene, substance abuse etc.

  • Conduct assessments to identify the health needs and concerns of the community.

  • Use IEC materials and promote healthy behaviors.

  • Organize and lead training sessions for community members, and volunteers on various health topics, emphasizing the importance of preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Work closely with local organizations, healthcare providers, schools, and government agencies to coordinate health initiatives and enhance community resources.

  • Engage with community members through outreach activities, including health fairs, community events, and workshops, to increase awareness of available health resources and programs.

  • Offer individual counseling and support to community members seeking guidance on health-related issues, helping them to set personal health goals and navigate available resources.  

Activities:

  • Coordinate and conduct health screenings (e.g., blood pressure checks, glucose testing, BMI assessments) to help community members identify potential health issues.

  • Attend all relevant meetings/workshops/training.

  • Conduct regular outreach activities and community health education sessions/individual health education sessions.

  • Prepare reports as advised by the supervisor.

  • Involve in relevant activities in liaison with local Gov authorities on a need basis.

  • Assist health staff to improve operational efficiency at health facility.

  • Submit timely reports and deliverables as requested by the supervisor.

Educational requirements:

  • DMF with valid BMDC registration/Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery with valid BNMC registration.
