• Should be fluent in both oral and written Bengali & English. Fluency in Chittagonian/local language is adorable.

• Computer skills, MS Office package, internet, email, communication skills.

• Problem-solving skills, report writing skills, leadership skills, etc.

• Remarkable experience in the development sector.

• Good people skills and leadership qualities.

• Being a strong team player.

• Good communication skills to coordinate activities with the GO/NGO/INGO/UN Agencies.

• Have a valid motorcycle driving license.

• Hard working and ability to work under pressure·

• Frequent field visits.

Job Summary: The Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) is a leading non-government organization dedicated to fostering a just and caring society since 1973. CCDB is currently seeking a Project Manager for its project, “Empowering Refugees Through Resilience and Recovery”.

The Program Manager will lead and serve as the Focal person for Program at Cox’s Bazar for the host community. The overall objective of this position is to ensure the implementation of project interventions according to the respective project log-frame budget and time frame.

The purpose of this position is to provide services to the host community in having access to protection, introduce integrated farming considering the Climate Change issue as well as capacity building and livelihood support for the host community, especially women, children and adolescents, and enable them to live with basic human dignity.

PM will be responsible for managing a coordinated, collaborative, integrated teamwork approach among the Cox’s Bazar staff members, other implementing members and ensuring all communications with Clusters and meetings of all the relevant Departments of the Government in Ramu and Cox’s Bazar.

Project introduction: The ACT Bangladesh Forum will implement a coordinated, multi-sectoral response that aligns with the Appeal Results Framework and adheres to ACT Alliance humanitarian quality standards, including CHS and Sphere. Guided by the overarching goal of helping crisis-affected Rohingya (FDMNs) and host communities move from aid toward ability, based on years of experience working with the FDMNs, and building on the existing presence, the Forum will deliver life-saving support while strengthening the foundations of dignity, resilience, and self-reliance. CCDB has longstanding expertise in climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, community-based WASH systems, and local peacebuilding. CCDB has worked in Cox’s Bazar and other disaster-affected regions for over fifty years and supported host communities through DRR, water resource protection, and environmental livelihood practices. CCDB contributes strong capacity for resilience and climate-focused humanitarian programming, including work with faith-based networks and interreligious platforms.

Job Responsibility:

• Ensuring the overall management, implementation and development of the ACT Alliance Appeal Project of CCDB in Cox’s Bazar.

• Ensuring effective coordination with the central team of CCDB and Cox’s Bazar, and providing necessary support to revise and develop the project proposal, including the budget.

• Support the Financial and Systems Management to understand financial and procurement systems of CCDB, Donor and close contact with Central finance departments for effective financial management of the Ramu, Cox’s Bazar office.

• Ensure procurement of necessary material items, maintain all guidelines of CCDB in coordination and guidance from the Head of General Admin, CCDB Office, donor, and managing all project staff; ensure an effective local procurement committee and coordinate them so that they perform their duties with accountability and transparency as per procurement policy.

• Ensure donor, different cluster, and Government reports are produced on time and to a high standard.

• Providing effective coordination with Government, all clusters, ISCG and other relevant stakeholders.

• Representing CCDB at all Humanitarian Forums in Ramu/Cox’s Bazar/Dhaka as and when required.

• Conducting frequent supervision and monitoring visits to the host community and identifying any issues needing attention related to implementation, donor compliance, and program quality standards.

• Ensure effective and accountable Project Management, including staff supervision and management, security, and lead project staff members for ensuring smooth implementation of project interventions with a plan of activities, time frame, and budget.

• Ensure to provide both narrative and financial reports to CCDB Head Office and partner/donor by fulfilling the deadlines in coordination with the Coordinator, Bilateral Programs, CCDB.

• PM has to conduct and practice behavior in line with CCDB’s Vision, Mission, Values.

• Follow the organization’s various policies on different issues in line with donor compliance.

• Perform any other assignments given by ED/DED of CCDB and Senior management as and when required.
