Job Purpose

The Senior Project Officer – MIS is responsible for overseeing the management, implementation, and improvement of data and information systems across the project. The role ensures that all project data is accurately collected, stored, analyzed, and reported, supporting program performance tracking, decision-making, learning, and donor compliance. This position will also provide reports on knowledge management to improve service/activity quality of the project under the supervision of Project Manager- Early Childhood Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and regularly update project databases and MIS platforms.

  • Develop data collection tools/forms (digital and paper-based i.e TAROWorks, ODK, KOBO, Google form) tailored to project needs.

  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry, validation, and storage across all project locations.

  • Coordinate field-level data collection in collaboration with project and MEAL system.

  • Clean, process, and analyze project data to produce meaningful reports and dashboards.

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for project management and donors

  • Collect information and produce report maintain data protection and sharing protocol.

  • Prepare quantitative reports on the activities going on under the project of Early Childhood Development.

  • Responsible for collection, compiling and preparing monthly progress report and also timely submit monthly project report.

  • Keep track report of the PRs submitted and maintain an expenditure tracking as per budget.

  • Prepare reports on budget Vs Burn rate report as required on a regular basis.

  • Be responsible for the identification, measurement, accumulation, analysis, preparation and communication regarding data as used by management to plan, evaluate and control the project.

  • Monitor project activities, procurement status and generate reports on gap findings and submit to project managers.

  • Preserve the accumulated data to ensure the data analysis to prepare daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ yearly MIS reports the internal management and external stakeholders.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
