• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience working with NGO/INGO in a similar position in implementing youth development, social cohesion, and inclusive community.

• Design and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation system.

• Technical support for Monitoring, Evaluation, and generation of narrative reports. Preparing case studies and developing tools for data collection, data entry, analysis, and report preparation.

• Understanding and experience in the area of development on youth groups, interfaith development, vocational/technical training, rural joint venture activities, climate change and gender aspects.

• Willingness to stay and operate the project in a remote area.

Job Summary: The Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) is a leading non-government organization dedicated to fostering a just and caring society since 1973. CCDB is currently seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer for its project, “Strengthening Organized Mobilization for Peace, Resilience and Inclusive Transformation through Youth Engagement (SOMPRITY)”.

The M&E Officer will be responsible for monitoring project progress, outputs, and resource utilization against approved plans, objectives, log frames, and the Theory of Change. The position will provide technical support to project teams, identify implementation gaps or deviations, and facilitate appropriate corrective actions. The Officer will conduct regular field visits, strengthen data collection and documentation systems, and develop user-friendly tools for data entry and analysis. The role will also ensure timely preparation of quantitative and qualitative reports, management information, and consolidated M&E reports to support evidence-based program management and decision-making.

 Project Introduction: The project will be jointly implemented by Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB), Jagrata Jubo Sangha (JJS), and National Council of Churches in Bangladesh (NCCB), in partnership with Kerk in Actie (KIA). This project aims to support unemployed youth—particularly women and marginalized groups—through vocational skills development, entrepreneurship support, and market linkages in two upazilas in Satkhira (Sadar & Kalaroa Upazila) and Khulna City Corporation. By improving access to dignified employment, the initiative seeks to promote economic stability, social cohesion, and inclusive community development in vulnerable areas.

 Job Responsibility:

• To monitor project plans and related activities to assess progress and bring to the attention of the project implementation teams any deviations or shortfalls and develop a plan of action for corrective measures.

• Summarize the program and related activity achievements and shortfalls through a management information system, make a comparative analysis, and relate these to objectives and goals. 

• M&E Officer will provide technical support to the Manager of this program and their team members to assess their work progress, achievements, and outputs of the program activities and resources utilized in the process.

• Assist the team in developing plans in case of any deviations or shortfalls to take corrective measures. 

• Regularly visit and interact with Staff Team Members on the thematic areas of the project to know the actual situation of the field and provide necessary guidance for data collection and documentation.

• Prepare all necessary combined reports according to the requirements for the log frame and theory of change described in the proposal. 

• Prepare user-friendly tools for data collection, data entry, and analysis, and prepare Quantitative reports on a monthly basis and Qualitative reports on a quarterly/ six-monthly basis.
