Nodi Limited, a social enterprise of Friendship, is looking for a Sales & Promotions In-Charge for its brand Colours of the Chars, to take ownership of day-to-day sales performance and customer experience across our Banani and Dhanmondi showrooms. This role sits at the centre of our retail operation: leading showroom teams, designing and running promotional campaigns that drive footfall and sales, and ensuring every customer who visits leaves satisfied. Because the role is responsible for tracking the indicators that make a showroom great, we're looking for someone genuinely interested in numbers and impact, with the analytical mindset and appetite to keep learning and growing into the role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on retail professional who is equally comfortable reading a sales report and standing on the showroom floor coaching staff during a busy weekend.
1. Showroom Management
Oversee daily operations of the Banani and Dhanmondi showrooms, ensuring both run smoothly, consistently, and to brand standards.
Monitor stock display, merchandising, visual presentation, and showroom cleanliness in line with the Colours of the Chars brand identity.
Coordinate with brand partners operating within the showrooms on stock movement, product placement, and day-to-day showroom matters.
Ensure showroom opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and point-of-sale processes are followed correctly.
2. Sales & Promotional Planning
Develop and execute promotional plans and seasonal campaigns (festive, end-of-season, new collection launches, etc.) to boost footfall and sales.
Set showroom-wise sales targets and track performance against them, identifying gaps and corrective actions.
Plan and run in-showroom promotions, discounts, bundle offers, and loyalty initiatives, and coordinate digital/social promotion with the marketing team.
Track and report on the effectiveness of each campaign (sales uplift, footfall, customer feedback) and recommend improvements.
3. Showroom Team Management
Supervise, schedule, and support showroom staff (sales associates, cashiers) across both locations.
Train and coach staff on product knowledge, customer service standards, and selling techniques.
Set individual and team performance expectations; conduct regular check-ins and performance feedback.
Handle staff attendance, leave planning, and escalate HR matters (recruitment, discipline) to management as needed.
4. Customer Experience & Satisfaction
Ensure every customer receives attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous service at both showrooms.
Handle escalated customer queries, complaints, and feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Introduce and monitor simple customer feedback mechanisms to track satisfaction and identify recurring issues.
Build repeat-customer relationships and encourage word-of-mouth referrals consistent with the brand's story and values.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
Define and track the key indicators that make a showroom successful footfall, conversion rate, average transaction value, sales per showroom, repeat-customer rate, and customer satisfaction and use them to guide decisions.
Provide regular sales, promotion, and showroom performance reports to the General Manager, with clear analysis, not just raw numbers.
Coordinate with production, design, and inventory teams to ensure showrooms are adequately and appropriately stocked.
Support management in budgeting for promotional activities and tracking spend against results.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in retail sales, showroom/store management, or promotions; experience in fashion, lifestyle, or handicraft retail is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience managing a small team and being accountable for sales targets.
Experience planning or executing promotional campaigns (in-store or digital) is strongly preferred.
A genuine interest in numbers and impact; comfortable working with sales and performance data, not just intuition, and motivated to understand what drives showroom performance.
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and hold showroom staff accountable.
Creative, practical thinking around promotions and offers that fit a social-enterprise, slow-fashion brand.
Excellent customer-facing communication skills in Bangla and English.
Analytical, data-driven mindset; able to read sales and performance indicators, spot patterns, and translate them into action.
A learning mindset: curious, open to feedback, and keen to grow in analytical and commercial ability over time.
Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable working across a head-office and multi-showroom setup.
Good working proficiency with MS Office/Excel and point-of-sale or inventory systems.
Based at the Head Office (HO), with regular visits to both the Banani and Dhanmondi showrooms.
During peak periods (festive seasons, sales events, promotional campaigns), required to be present at the showrooms during showroom hours, including weekends.
