Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Labour Studies, or any relevant discipline from a recognized university.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in training, capacity building, women’s empowerment, labour rights, gender equality, GBV prevention, community development, or related fields.

• Experience in designing and facilitating participatory training and workshops.

• Experience working with women workers, Domestic Workers, Beauty Service Workers, marginalized groups, or community-based organizations will be preferred.

• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

• Good report writing and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good command of Bangla and English.

• Sound understanding of women’s rights, labour rights, gender equality, GBV prevention, economic justice, safeguarding, and community engagement.

• Ability to undertake regular field visits and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities & Context:

Karmojibi Nari (KN) is a women-led national organization committed to promoting the rights, dignity, leadership, and socio-economic empowerment of women workers in Bangladesh.

Karmojibi Nari (KN) is going to implement the project “Advancing Rights, Economic Justice, and GBV Prevention for Women in Domestic and Beauty Service Work”, supported by Women’s Fund Asia, in urban Dhaka.

The project aims to strengthen the collective voice, rights, economic justice, dignity, and working conditions of women Domestic Workers (DW) and Beauty Service Workers (BSW). It will also contribute to the prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and challenge discriminatory social norms affecting women workers.

To support the implementation of this initiative from August 2026 to January 2028, KN invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Training Officer (TO).

Job Responsibilities

The Training Officer will be responsible for planning, developing, facilitating, coordinating, and documenting training and capacity-building activities for women workers, project participants, community members, and other relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and facilitate training, orientation, and capacity-building sessions for Domestic Workers (DW), Beauty Service Workers (BSW), community members, and project staff.

• Apply participatory, gender-responsive, and worker-friendly training methodologies to ensure meaningful participation of all participants.

• Develop training plans, session outlines, training materials, manuals, IEC materials, and other relevant resources in consultation with the project team.

• Facilitate sessions on women’s rights, labour rights, economic justice, workplace dignity, gender equality, GBV prevention, safeguarding, leadership, communication, and collective action.

• Support leadership development and organizing initiatives among women Domestic Workers and Beauty Service Workers.

• Support and facilitate couple dialogues, community discussions, awareness sessions, and other participatory activities related to gender equality and GBV prevention.

• Monitor and provide guidance to Field Facilitators to ensure effective implementation of field-level activities.

• Conduct training needs assessments and identify capacity-building needs of project participants and stakeholders.

• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator and Field Facilitators to ensure effective participation of target groups in training and learning activities.

• Conduct field visits and provide technical support for field-level training and capacity-building activities.

• Maintain training-related records, including attendance sheets, participant databases, feedback forms, photographs, reports, and other documentation.

• Prepare training reports, success stories, case studies, lessons learned, and other project documents as required.

• Support monitoring and evaluation of training outcomes and contribute to project reporting.

• Coordinate with relevant government agencies, NGOs, civil society organizations, service providers, and other stakeholders as required.

• Ensure compliance with organizational, donor, safeguarding, gender, financial, and administrative policies.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Job Location - Dhaka, Bangladesh, with frequent travel to project intervention areas as required.
