Responsibilities & Context:

As the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager for the UN Women project, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities to measure the progress and impact of project interventions. This position is essential for providing evidence-based insights, strengthening accountability, and facilitating informed decision-making to maximize project outcomes and contribute to the advancement of gender equality and women's empowerment. Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

Monitoring and Evaluation Framework:

  • Develop and implement a robust M&E framework, including indicators, targets, and data collection methods, in alignment with project objectives and UN Women guidelines.

  • Design M&E tools, surveys, and data collection instruments to track project activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts.

  • Establish baseline data and set up systems for regular data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Coordinate with project staff and partners to collect and compile qualitative and quantitative data on project progress and achievements.

  • Conduct data analysis, interpretation, and visualization to generate insights and recommendations for project improvement.

  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of M&E data through regular validation and verification exercises.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare timely and comprehensive M&E reports, including progress reports, quarterly updates, and annual reviews, for submission to UN Women and other stakeholders.

  • Document best practices, lessons learned, success stories, and challenges encountered during project implementation to facilitate knowledge sharing and organizational learning.

Capacity Building and Learning:

  • Provide training and technical support to project staff, partners, and beneficiaries on M&E concepts, tools, and methodologies.

  • Facilitate learning workshops, reflection sessions, and feedback mechanisms to promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive management. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy & PSEA Policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Adhere to the safeguarding reporting protocol in the event of any reportable incident and actively promote compliance among others.

  • Working on strategy with the program team.

  • Carryout any other duties as outlined by the Program Manager/Program Director/ Chief Executive
