• A minimum of 03 years of professional experience in quality control or quality assurance in Lingerie items garment industry is required. Additional consideration and value will be given to candidates with experience working in the context of Rohingya Camps.

Job Nature: Full-time (Contractual Up to December 2026, Might be Extended Upon Project Renewal)
Project Brief: The organization, with support from UNHCR, has been implementing the project Community Empowerment Promoted through Skills Development Initiatives for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. The 2026 project has three interrelated components. Skills Development and Economic Inclusion covers technical and higher-level training, English and life skills, digital and financial literacy, employment and self-employment support, business grants, and Green Innovation Hubs. Female Hygiene Materials and Social Business covers FHM and craft production, safe wage-earning opportunities, quality systems, and responsible market linkages. Information Management covers post-distribution monitoring, data quality and security, cleaned datasets, dashboards, and analytical reporting. Together, the components seek to strengthen self-reliance, economic inclusion, accountability, and community empowerment.
Job Statement: The primary objective of this position is to support the implementation of quality control activities at the assigned production center and ensure that products consistently meet established quality standards and specifications. The incumbent will conduct and supervise day-to-day quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods in accordance with established CNRS, UNHCR, AQL, and project-specific quality requirements.
The QC Supervisor will work closely with the QC Officer and production team to identify defects and quality gaps, ensure proper use of QC checklists and procedures, maintain accurate inspection records, and promptly report quality concerns for appropriate corrective action. The position will also provide practical guidance to production volunteers on quality requirements and support them in improving their workmanship and adherence to approved standards.
By ensuring consistent application of quality control procedures at the production-center level, the QC Supervisor will contribute to reducing defects and rejection rates, improving product quality, maintaining compliance with established standards, and supporting the timely delivery of quality products under the Project.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks

A. Key Activities:

• Conduct and supervise day-to-day quality control activities at the assigned production center to ensure all lingerie and FHM-related products comply with approved specifications, quality standards, approved samples, measurement charts, and production requirements.

• Conduct Incoming Quality Inspection (IQI) of raw materials, fabrics, elastics, threads, labels, accessories, packaging materials, and other production inputs before releasing them for production.

• Inspect fabric and materials for common defects such as shade variation, holes, stains, contamination, GSM variation, knitting defects, yarn defects, uneven texture, bowing, skewing, and other non-conformities.

• Verify fabric width, GSM, shade, composition, construction, and other required parameters against approved specifications and supplier documents.

• Conduct fabric inspection using applicable inspection methods and maintain proper inspection records, including roll-wise inspection results, defect findings, and acceptance/rejection status.

• Conduct the 07-activity quality follow-up across production stages, including cutting, panel preparation, sewing, joining, elastic attachment, finishing, and packing, to identify and control defects at source.

• Conduct in-line inspection and monitor critical operations to ensure defects are detected and corrected before moving to the next production stage.

• Conduct First Piece/First Output Inspection after starting a new style, size, design, machine setting, or production batch and verify compliance before allowing bulk production to continue.

• Conduct regular measurement checks for lingerie items, including waist, hip, rise, leg opening, body length, elastic length, gusset dimensions, and other applicable measurement points against the approved measurement chart.

• Inspect lingerie workmanship, including stitch quality, SPI, seam allowance, seam strength, overlock, flatlock, bartack, elastic attachment, thread trimming, label placement, joining, symmetry, and finishing.

• Monitor common lingerie defects such as skipped stitches, broken stitches, open seams, puckering, uneven elastic distribution, twisted elastic, loose threads, needle damage, fabric holes, measurement variation, uneven leg openings, shade variation, and poor finishing.

• Conduct in-process and End Line Inspection to verify product quality before finished goods are transferred to packing or warehouse.

• Conduct Final Random Inspection (FRI) or final inspection in accordance with approved AQL levels, sampling plans, specifications, and customer/donor requirements.

• Ensure proper checking of size, color/shade, quantity, labeling, workmanship, appearance, measurement, packing, and assortment during final inspection.

• Maintain defect classification records and categorize defects as critical, major, or minor, as applicable.

• Prepare and maintain defect analysis, DHU, rejection rate, rework rate, alteration rate, and first-pass yield records to monitor production quality performance.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and major quality defects and coordinate with Production Supervisors and operators to implement appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Establish and follow up on quality checkpoints and critical control points for each production process to minimize defect generation and improve First Time Right (FTR) performance.

• Ensure all rejected, defective, or non-conforming products are properly identified, tagged, segregated, recorded, and prevented from being mixed with approved products.

• Conduct re-inspection of repaired, altered, or reworked items and verify corrective actions before releasing them to the next production stage.

• Maintain a Quality Alert or Defect Alert system for recurring or critical defects and communicate immediate corrective requirements to relevant production personnel.

• Monitor needle, machine, and workmanship-related quality issues and coordinate with technical and maintenance personnel where machine settings or equipment conditions contribute to defects.

• Verify approved samples, size sets, measurement charts, tech packs, specifications, and reference samples before starting production and ensure production teams work according to the latest approved version.

• Monitor shade and lot consistency during production and ensure proper segregation of different fabric lots or shades where required.

• Conduct regular quality awareness sessions and on-the-job coaching for production workers on workmanship standards, defect prevention, measurement control, and approved production procedures.

• Maintain accurate and updated QC records, including IQI reports, fabric inspection reports, inline inspection reports, measurement reports, defect records, final inspection reports, rejection records, rework records, and CAPA follow-up records.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports highlighting inspection results, defect trends, rejection rates, major findings, corrective actions, and pending quality issues.

• Participate in Pre-Production Meetings, sample reviews, production planning meetings, and quality review meetings and provide technical quality feedback.

• Escalate critical quality risks, repeated non-conformities, significant rejection rates, or failure to implement corrective actions to the QC Officer and Project Management Unit without delay.

• Perform any other quality assurance, quality control, inspection, technical follow-up, or production-related tasks assigned by the Project Management Unit.

B. Core Competencies (Knowledge, Ability & Attitude):

• Sound understanding of quality control principles, inspection procedures, and product quality requirements relevant to garment, textile, hygiene, or similar production activities.

• Basic to good knowledge of AQL (Acceptable Quality Level), QC checklists, product specifications, and inspection procedures.

• Ability to conduct incoming, in-process, and finished-product inspections and identify defects or inconsistencies.

• Ability to identify and classify common defects in fabrics, garments, hygiene products, and other finished products according to established quality standards.

• Familiarity with checking measurements, stitching, seam quality, workmanship, finishing, appearance, and other product-specific quality parameters.

• Ability to monitor and record rejection rates, defects, and non-conformities accurately.

• Basic understanding of corrective action procedures and ability to follow up on identified quality issues.

• Good documentation and record-keeping skills, particularly for inspection reports, QC checklists, defect records, and rejection records.

• Strong observation and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to identify quality issues accurately and consistently.

• Ability to conduct routine quality inspections independently and manage daily QC activities with limited supervision.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate quality requirements and provide constructive feedback to production personnel and refugee volunteers.

• Ability to work collaboratively with the QC Officer, Centre In-Charge, production team, and other relevant staff to resolve quality-related issues.

• Basic proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Bangla, with good interpersonal communication skills.
