Experience:
Master’s degree in Climate Change, Disaster Management, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Social Science or a related discipline, BSC Engineering in any discipline is also considerable.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in MEAL, results-based management, or data coordination with NGOs & INGOs.
Direct experience in climate change, disaster management, Emergecny Situation or community governance projects.
Demonstrated experience in conducting baseline, endline surveys, FGDs, PRAs, and participatory community assessments.
High proficiency in app-based data collection platforms (KoboToolbox, ODK), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and virtual communication tools (MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet).
Strong analytical skills in data filtering, validation, database management, and visualization.
Excellent facilitation, reporting, and writing skills in both English and Bangla.

Uttaran is inviting applications for the vacant position titled – MEAL Officer.
Reports to: Head of MEAL, Climate Change Program
Key Responsibilities
MEAL Framework Implementation & Indicator Tracking
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and consortium MEAL teams to execute the project`s MEAL plan and Logical Framework.
Track indicator progress against target benchmarks across project activities, sub-grantees, and community initiatives.
Ensure systematic archiving and preservation of project monitoring data, field reports, evaluation records, and publications.
Data Management, Quality Assurance, & Digitization
Manage the project MIS database, including template design, data entry, cleaning, and logical checks.
Standardize and deploy app-based mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) for field surveys and routine monitoring.
Conduct regular field-level data verification, spot checks, and data quality assessments (DQA) across local CSOs, CBOs, and community networks.
Assessments, Learning, & Case Documentation
Support baseline studies, mid-term reviews, endline evaluations, and participatory assessments (FGDs, PRAs, climate vulnerability mapping).
Capture evidence-based learning, lessons learned and prepare compelling case studies and success stories with photos.
Facilitate feedback and accountability mechanisms for project participants, CSOs, Environmental Human Rights Defenders (EHRDs), and local government stakeholders.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare analytical weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MEAL progress updates according to Uttaran and donor requirements.
Coordinate closely with project officers, consortium members (WHH, MJF, Educo), and local governance bodies to ensure activity alignment and timely reporting.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Ensure compliance with Uttaran`s Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, PSEA, Child Protection, Gender Equality, Anti-Fraud, and organizational policies.
Promote accountability to affected populations (AAP) in all project interventions.
Ensure ethical conduct and confidentiality while working with vulnerable communities.

Perform any other duties assigned by the senior management in support of organizational objectives
