Experience:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in grants/financial management, preferably in NGOs/development organizations.
Experience in PNGO financial monitoring, budgeting, financial reporting, and grants management is essential.
Good understanding of donor financial requirements and compliance.
Experience in training/facilitation and partner capacity strengthening will be an advantage.
Strong financial analysis, monitoring, and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla.
Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a team.
High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to safeguarding.
Willingness and ability to undertake approximately 60% field travel per month.

Location: Dhaka (with occasional field visits as required)

Job Summary
The Grants Officer will be responsible for financial monitoring and management of sub-grants provided to Partner NGOs (PNGOs) under the CJEP project. The position will ensure compliance with approved budgets, MJF policies, donor requirements, grant agreements, and sound financial control practices.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor financial activities and utilization of sub-grants by PNGOs.
Review partner budgets, fund requests, financial reports, supporting documents, and budget variances.
Conduct regular financial monitoring visits to PNGOs and assess internal control systems.
Recommend financial reports and fund requests for clearance and disbursement.
Ensure compliance with MJF, WHH/donor requirements, grant agreements, and applicable financial procedures.
Identify financial risks, irregularities, and control weaknesses and follow up on corrective actions.
Support PNGOs in strengthening budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and grants management capacity.
Assist in developing/revising financial and grant management guidelines and tools.
Support internal/external audits and follow up on audit findings.
Maintain proper grant documentation, financial monitoring records, and trackers.
Provide financial support to the Manager – Grants Control and project team as required.
Salary: Tk.48,685 per month, plus bonus and increment as per organizational policy.
